everything was nice actually

Cute place and a great location with space for us to spread out. The best part of our stay was the Dali restaurant. We enjoyed a late dinner there our first night. And the breakfast was exceptional! So many choices and no matter what time you show up there is always food available. We had a great time!

The breakfast was pretty basic and did not have the usual variety.

Great size and not far to the centre of Ghent ,biker friendly Nothing

Staff - Very helpful. Give us a map, direction and description of the centre Breakfast - Excellent, many choices Bedroom - Clean. The bed mattress was a bit soft.

Nice clean room and a very good breakfast. The room overlooked the rail lines from the main station but the soundproofing was very good. An easy level walk to the city centre. Chargeable parking on site was good, once we found it. From the direction we arrived the signage for the car park was not good so we arrived in slightly the wrong place. The male receptionist answered the intercom but just said "park on the right". The barrier didn't open so we buzzed again and got a very confusing response. We eventually found the correct entrance and could see very clear signs facing the other direction.

Before arrival, I had clearly informed the hotel that I did not authorize any photographs or scans of my ID, requesting that my details be entered manually. The hotel confirmed that this would be possible. However, at check-in, the staff member took my ID and scanned it without asking for permission. I expressed my dissatisfaction, and despite being aware of my prior request, he did not apologize or show any concern. The payment process was also problematic. The staff member initially refused to accept my Revolut Mastercard, insisting that a credit card was required. The situation was resolved by placing a hold for an amount higher than the reservation. The heating/ventilation system produced a loud noise, forcing us to turn it off. The breakfast had limited variety and average quality. In addition, the staff present at breakfast were very unfriendly. Of the entire stay, only the staff member present at our departure demonstrated friendliness and professionalism.

Clean This is a 2 bed bedroom with an extra bed, not a three bed room.

1. All Receptions Staff - Very helpful and Friendly 2. Dining Room ( Breakfast) - about 50 years old lady - She is very nice and friendly. 3. Very Good Breakfast 4. Room - Especially Toilet and Bath Area with Some Equipped Hand Rail for Senior. 5. Car Park - Well Organized ( except Narrow Entrance- Euro Standard)

Hardly enough choices! The bed matrises were too soft and uncomfortable. I have stayed before in another room and that was way better in terms of the matrises.

Modern hotel Average breakfast
-
Super good and convenient.
-
The beds are comfy but they are a small single beds in the value rooms. Car park charges, I think are just a little excessive.

The lady at reception was extremely kind and welcoming. The room we stayed was large, comfortable, and had very good facilities. The hotel is situated on a peaceful street, which made for a relaxing stay. The covered parking was convenient, even though the entrance was a bit tight. The hotel is about a 30-minute walk from the city centre, which can be inconvenient if you need to go back and forth several times a day.
-
The shower was difficult to use as you had to stand at the end of the bath which was sloping. Not particularly safe.

We made it back home to the USA and it was such a help that Sandra had helped us make the train reservation to leave Ghent and then even followed up with the train itinerary email! We were getting frantic trying to get the reservation online the night before and being unsuccessful but needing to hurry to leave in the morning to make it to our next destination. After she kindly made the reservation without us asking we left to rush to the station. I saw she sent a email right away and used the information to navigate so much easier, I am sure we would have had difficulties if not for that important information and her attention to detail and kindness. Thank you so much again for going above and beyond. We are grateful! I want to include a mention of “Famka” the wonderfully attentive and hard working hostess and receptionist who helped us so much. She greeted us after a long day of travel on our first night when we arrived and offered tips for where to go in Ghent and specific instructions how to get there with the transportation . She worked tirelessly all 4 days we were there- always cheerfully and with extraordinary helpfulness and attentiveness. I cannot recommend this wonderfully welcoming Hotel-apartment enough! Best we encountered during our 2 week European vacation .

Spacious apartment Poor quality of breakfast food.

Spacious unit in a quiet and nice neighborhood. Small kitchenette was useful. Melissa, who checked us in, was very friendly and helpful. She came up and showed us how to use the induction stove( which was tricky] The living room furniture was a little beaten up . The male helper in the breakfast area could have been more pleasant and welcoming.
