Danima Resort

The staff are absolutely amazing and are a true credit to this property. Their shirts say, "Come as strangers, leave as family," and that couldn't be more accurate. We felt incredibly well looked after throughout our stay. Unfortunately, the property itself is run down. If it hadn't been for the outstanding, hardworking staff, we would have left early. The staff truly are the heart of this property and deserve recognition for the exceptional service they provide. There was only a sheet on the bed, with no blanket or doona. The photos on Booking.com show the room includes a Nespresso machine, but this was not the case. We also experienced plumbing and electrical issues, and there was a terrible smell in the room throughout our stay.

Very basic nice room, nothing fancy. The staff is lovely and very friendly, they will help you with anything you need. Breakfast at the beach is amazing, food is incredible and they have two nice pools to chill. You can rent bikes at the same place, very convenient. Walls are very thin so you can hear everything. We were originally next to the staff room which was super noisy but they kindly moved us to another room and noise was gone!

Excellent staff, Great Breakfast, good location right in front of turtle beach and only a short walk to main area of Gili T. Clean brand new rooms. Quiet Wifi was a bit patchy in the rooms

Front sea When I arrive I thought it was going to be a good choice because was a nice welcome and they let me put my bag in the room earlier Unfortunately that wasn’t the case, there was no water in my room at first I let it pass and when on with my day, when I came back there still no water so I approached the staff to ask about it I waited for a while and nothing so I ask again…They all chatting like nothing is happening when here I am desperate for a shower to go see the sunset Seems like they didn’t care at first so I couldn’t take a shower to go back out for dinner This is a común problem when u are a solo traveler, people ignore u or u are pretty much invisible. The problem was serious so I was move to a different room and here is where I found a huge cockroach In the bathroom in the shower The WiFi was un existent NO WIFE at all so if u need work there no way that’s going to happened Some of the staff seems to be bothered every time I ask for something I didn’t think this place worth what I pay for not really good value I am very disappointed of this place the only nice thing is that is in front of the ocean I don’t know what’s going on with booking lately is not very accurate about reviews and mark as wonderful places that are not and this is not the fist time. Let’s be realistic so we know what is ahead. Attached pic of the cockroach

The room featured at the pool is perfect for a few days or a week and the staff were exceptional. All is good.

Our stay was like staying with our family , very kids friendly and our daughter loved ENI so much We left the property with emotions Location is perfect also , the beach is nice and you don’t need to go anywhere to swim with turtles and fishes We will definitely go back Nothing

Staff were amazing, the whole family were so lovely and we got to know them well. It was a lovely homely feel. The beach is right at the property and the property has sun loungers on the beach reserved for you to use each day. You can see turtles right on this beach which is very cool! Great food and hospitality. Having a sheet on the bed wasn’t enough, a thicker blanket or duvet would have been nice. A little more expensive than it is worth in my opinion but also cannot fault the hospitality it was 100%

The breakfast on the beach The localisation just next to the center of the islands so no noices when you sleep and you can walk or take a bike to go to the center. Your room is just in front of a turtle point. In 2 morning, we saw atleast 10 times turtles when we were swimming ! The swimming pool almost private for you. The pasta are delicious. And last but not least, the most important thing : the most incredible staff I've ever seen. This hotel would not be as good without them. I think gili Tramangan would not be such a beautiful memory without them. Thank you so so much for everything you've done for us. We will never forget you. All the little attentions, their smile, their kindness.. it was like we were at home... from Shaïma and mister adam ! Nothing, everything was perfect. Really you will not be disappointed by going here.

Exceptional

The location was amazing right in front of the turtle point and we saw so many turtles, it's at the end of the busy road so pretty quiet, the place is run by a family and they are super friendly, the room was pretty big , highly recommend the place if you enjoy snorkeling and want to be in a quiet place and do not care much about the condition for the wall paint. The place is little bit outdated, it's clean but needs some renovation, walls need to be painted, the fridge did not work as well as the TV, we did not care about those things as we spent most of our time out enjoying the turtles.

On a quiet side of the island, far from the mosque. Right in from at the beach and you can use beach chair for free. The turtles just at the beach when you step in the sea. They offer breakfast (ok but not amazing). Staffs are sooo nice. Good facilities. The room we stay has mouse in the wall and they run+make noise all night. I told the staff but they said they can't do anything since the hotel is close to the jungle. The blanket was only a bedsheet and our AC remote didn't work so we couldn't adjust the temp, slept in cold all night. A bit far walk from the pier.

+Lovely little place, you share the pool only with another room + very good breakfast, fruitplate, omelette, pancakes.. + quiet and peacefull, just outside the party area but close to everything. +turtle place just outside the hotel + heated pool water Nothing bad to say

The staff were amazing, very welcoming and helpful. The location for snorkeling with turtles was perfect. The restaurant had very limited menu items available. The air conditioner was very noisy.

Situated in a lovely location on a beach with nice snorkelling and you can also see turtles on daily basis. The room is nice by GiliT standards, with air conditioning & hot water. Pleasant pool. Very friendly staff. Area is not noisy. One significant issue is that the bathroom doesn't have ventilation and every afternoon it got quite smelly. That doesn't affect staying in the room since you can close the door, but bathroom visits became unpleasant. Also, Italian owners weren't there and the dishes we tried at the Danima's restaurant weren't up to Italian standards. However, quite a lot of good restaurants within 5-10 minutes walking distance or a few minutes on a bike. Since we stayed for five nights, at one point we wanted to watch a movie on the TV, but the TV won't turn on.
