Great location. Lovely pub downstairs

The room was a generous size and the bed comfortable. The hotel is in a great location, easy walking distance to the centre of town. Breakfast was great and the staff lovely. We had an issue during our stay and it was dealt with promptly and in a friendly manner which we very much appreciated.

Staff so helpful and friendly. Lovely lovely old pub with decent rooms Bar was good and food was amazing Not sure about the area but a big group of us so was ok

Great location for city centre. Staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. We had a late lunch / early dinner on arrival and breakfast the following morning and both were very good. We were pleasantly surprised how many customers it attracts on a Tuesday afternoon - a clear sign that it offers great food and good selection of drinks in a nice comfy pub. No complaints at all. Everything was as described on their website. There are four bedrooms upstairs from the pub / restaurant. We had the twin room. It was mid-week so no late night noise even though the city had many visitors for the Commonwealth Games.

Able to get early breakfast left outside our room on days we had to be out before breakfast service started. Convenient location for city centre, bars and restaurants and getting around. Room was small (we knew this when booking) but didn't know one side of double bed was up against a wall with only about 18inches between the bottom of the bed and another wall - fortunately only one of us has limited mobility (elderly couple). Otherwise facilities in room ok.

The staff were very friendly. Made you feel like you could ask anything. Bed was super comfortable. Especially the Pillow. Loved the continental breakfast which came in the room rate which added much value. Great selection, toast, croissant, yougurt, summer fruits and bananas You couldn't open window to let in fresh air

Great location and comfortable room. Staff were exceptional and breakfast was great quality with plenty of fresh fruit and continental bits. The room was large and comfortable. We stayed on a Friday night and it was pretty noisy from the bar/night venue across the road and downstairs, and from generally being a city centre venue. Bring some ear plugs! The noise was a lot but you do expect some from a city centre venue. The bed was small in such a large room!

Great location and friendly, helpful staff. Nothing.

The friendliness and welcome of the staff. The room is spacious and very adequate. The amenities. All was just perfect. Thank you all. I wish I had a least an extra night!
-
Very central Bottles being emptied out when the bar shut and very noisy banging from the bar when tidying up for the night after 11pm

Great location. Excellent continental breakfast. Deliciously cooked food from their evening menu as well. Polite and cheerful staff. Very helpful. A small waste bin in the bedroom would have been helpful. Granted, there was one in the bathroom.

Fantastic location, staff were great, room was clean (4) spacious, and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was great, no need for cooked addition as the continental included was plentiful! The room had been well Aired and there was a powerful fan also( hot weather the night we stayed) only two minor. Things - the sockets near the bed were continental sockets for the bedside lamps so only two three pin plugs in the room that we could find. Second minor thing- five Chanel’s on the TV unless you have logins to your own subscriptions - again this was as far as we could tell- not a big deal for us but might be for others. In general would I recommend- definitely great atmosphere in the pub comfy clean and friendly Not much

Since arriving in Scotland on 18th June, this was the 1st accommodation that has had great pillows - Latex, firm and just like mine at home, and I slept really well. By the time I got to the hotel I was utterly exhausted, and the young man behind the bar carried my small suitcase up the stairs. He was very polite. The room was large, clean, and the double bed was very comfortable. There was a good size TV with streaming services eg Netflix. Good size hanging space for clothes, a desk and a reasonably comfortable armchair. There was a large, heavy weight blanket on the end of the bed which kept me warm while watching TV. The bathroom was a good size but there were issues with the shower. As I was coming to the end of my 25 day stay, and was exhausted, I decided that instead of walking around Glasgow after my arrival around 5pm, I stayed in my room and recharged my body batteries. Good decision. The accommodation was above a pub, which was very quiet after 11.45 pm. I was expecting the area to be noisy during the night but surprisingly it was very quiet. The noisy, busy morning started around 6.30 am, with delivery trucks, rubbish trucks emptying bottles into bins, and general work noises, but having had a good nights sleep, I found this acceptable. The shower was pathetic. No pressure, and the rose wouldn't stay upright - kept falling down, so to have a shower I had to aim the shower rose at my head and stand close to the wall in order to get wet. It took ages for me to get the hot water to work properly to allow me to have a decent shower.

Great experience

The staff were all super friendly and helpful. Great location and good value for money especially for one night's stay.

The staff were friendly. The location seemed fairly quiet. Everything in the room worked. The 'hotel' consists of four rooms above a pub. I was expecting something far grander for the price paid. I was promised a 'very good breakfast', but it just comprised cereal, pastries, fruit, toast and yogurt. A 'continental' breakfast normally includes rolls, cheeses and cold meats - none of that was available. A proper breakfast was available for an extra £15.

The staff were very friendly and helpful I was happy with everything
