Decent room for the price, comfortable bed, good shower, relatively quiet AC Hallway carpet can definitely use some vacuuming. There are a microwave and a coffee maker in a tiny dark room downstairs for guests to use, but no any coffee. Our booking included breakfast as a Genius Level 3 perk, however, this hotel doesn’t serve any breakfast. According to the manager, they notified booking.com about it long ago, but booking.com did not fix the listing. As a result, we had to spend time and money getting breakfast somewhere else during our two nights stay…

There was no breakfast, not even coffee The price was great, but they would not take cash nor had any change.

Was no breakfast. Ice machine dismantled. Wasn't expecting much for 47 bucks. Room was clean. Building didn't look to good. I would stay again if I just needed a place t o sleep.

The light switch by the door doesn’t work, bring a flashlight

It was very affordable for a quick stop on a business trip to Oregon. Nothing fancy, but the place appears to be quite old, but I've stayed at much worse. Good bed, cold AC, hot water. Not bad The place could use a little upgrading, but it was not a bad overnight stay. Friendly staff

The Grand Island Inn is a great place to stay. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower worked great. It fit my needs perfectly.

The maids are rude and not clean

The fan/light fixture was missing its cover, revealing a dust collection impressive enough to qualify as a small wildlife habitat. The front desk experience was frustrating. Communication was difficult, and despite my best efforts, every conversation felt like a game of telephone that neither of us was winning. Friendly greetings, a welcome, or even a simple "thank you" never seemed to make an appearance. The lobby had an aroma that can only be described as "memorable"—a unique blend of mystery, regret, and something that probably shouldn't have been indoors. Calling this a hotel feels generous. It had more of a "last-resort stopover" vibe than a place intended for travelers seeking comfort. And breakfast? There wasn't one. No pastries. No cereal. No coffee. Not even the illusion of coffee. The breakfast area was as empty as my hopes after checking in.

My room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Rooms have been remodeled. Easy walk to several spots to eat and economical price for the stay!

They provide a full size refrigerator but no microwave. My refrigerator had no handles. They were broken off. It just seemed pointless. I needed a microwave.

When we pulled back the sheets to go to bed, we found live bugs crawling in the beds in two of the rooms. In addition, there was mold in the bathroom, dirt, mud, and hair in the showers, and even cockroaches in one of the bathrooms. Several safety and maintenance issues were also present, including missing light fixtures, missing smoke detectors, non-functioning door locks, and a broken, poorly patched door frame that appeared to have previously been kicked in or broken into. Because we did not feel safe or comfortable staying there, we left the property at 1:00 AM to find cleaner and safer accommodations elsewhere. The following morning, we returned to speak with management and request a refund. Instead of addressing our concerns professionally, ownership became irate and insisted there was nothing wrong with the rooms. We were offered different rooms, but after seeing the condition of all three rooms we originally booked, we declined and requested a refund, which was denied. We have photos documenting the condition of the rooms and are willing to provide them upon request.
