Host’s were very friendly, they kept good communication during our whole visit. Very clean room, with amazing lighting. The bed and sheets were very cozy.

We feel like home in this house and we really appreciate the common areas: the rooftop terrasse with a great view, the kitchen well equipped, the indoor patio. Lack of windows in the room for natural light and to « renew » the air.

Excellent character , wonderful helpful staff, clean. Only thing is the location does not have much around it (restaurants, grocery stores, etc)

At first you might think the location is tough to get to but you'll quickely get used to it. It allows you to have a nice 15mn walk to the city center. The host was very welcoming and helpful and he answered all our needs. The view from their terrace is outstanding and the studio we got had an incredible view as well

Beautiful charming Guanajuato house in a great peaceful location with a nice view and a common rooftop terrace. House is very well equipped with everything you need. Close to a nice market with street food and fresh vegetables and 15 minutes walk to the centre. For people who want to be in the center of Guanajuato and don't like walking it maybe a bit of a walk but honestly we enjoyed walking to the centre everyday..

Breakfast was amazing, the room was big and the view really nice. The staff was ready to help with anything, the room was clean. I will come back. A little guide for access by car with area for parking would be appreciated. The GPS took me to impossible narrow street. There are parking spot in the street below (c. Patista) and a parking lot. Finally I think a bigger table for breakfast would be great to allow to have more than one room having breakfast at a time together.

Very colourful and clean, with nice big kitchen and plenty of covered open space on the terrace. Breakfast was simple but good. It’s up a side street so be prepared for a bit of a walk with your luggage. There is no one at the property, other than the lady who comes to cook breakfast. All the rooms only look inward so you either have light or privacy. The staircase to get to the roof is quite narrow, not for everyone

Lovely! Interesting decor. Staff were very nice. Towels were hard.

Super quiet, clean, private, very friendly staff, feels very local, walking distance to town, good, hot water, good Internet Decor is pretty garish. I had trouble with check-in never received proper instructions had some frustration.

Passable

The room was spacious and clean with a little balcony facing the inner courtyard which brings in lots of light. I enjoyed the authentic decoration. The bed was comfortable. In room refrigerator was a plus. The breakfast included was delicious and the rooftop terrace gives you nice view. No complaints.

Out of seven hotels in our trip this was perhaps our nicest stay. Super cute architecture and rooms. Very friendly owners. Amazing roof terrace, cute dog, and wonderful breakfast. Really lovely. And since there weren't any other guests at the time, we got upgraded for free. That was really nice also. You do have to walk 20 minutes to the center. But it is a nice walk, and it felt safe (overall Mexico and Guanajuato felt much safer than we anticipated). And you do have walk quite a number of steps from the car. So if you have tons of luggage or are walking impaired, it might be a bit difficult.

It was beautiful, well maintained, thoughtfully decorated, and included a lovely terrace with an amazing view. The employees took such good care of us. Highly recommend.
-
The great view from the terrace during the hearty breakfast. The nice tiles and other decorations. The warm welcome from the staff. The reasonable price. The room was a bit gloomy since it only has a window to the internal courtyard. It's a bit of a walk to the main center but not too far. The terrace was great but sometimes closed in the evening and a bit dirty from the hotel's dog, which sometimes made noise too.

Casa de Colores was fantastic! A beautiful and unique property reminiscent of traditional Mexico. The owner is so nice and very helpful. The included breakfast was wonderful, as well. I'd recommend this place to anyone who is visiting the beautiful city of Guanajuato.

Great place, 20 min on foot to the centre. Beautiful terraces with great views. Instructions are needed in order to locate the house.
