Hotel Ex-Hacienda San Xavier

Good location Wi-Fi problem took more than 24 hours to be solved, few options for breakfast, never received final bill receipt, front desk staff not very well prepare.

Breakfast place was not very cosy. There were only à la carte options, which were tasty though. No view from our hotel window, that was a pity.

I like the location of the hotel and the parking service Breakfast time, they said breakfast start at 7am and I went to the area at 7:30 and they weren't ready, it was a WIFI issue and took for them more than 24 hrs to fixed, when you travel for business is very important to have a internet connection

The architecture is amazing The sink had a brief clogging which I fixed myself

Room had good size. Rooms were not clean (bed was full of someone else’s hair). There was no coffee in the room. Not allowed to bring food from outside. The hotel needs attention, and also an upgrade (looked like an old hotel, including gym). It was pricey for what it was.

Needs renovation, pool always cold, far from town

We had to change rooms because the first room's AC was not working. There was bed bugs and we got bit. Location was good

The only thing I liked was that we didn’t have to be walking through town with our luggage and had it’s one place for transportation to drop us off I didn’t like that the first night we had an unfortunate call to our hotel room telephone asking us about a car with armed men and drugs and asking who else was part of our party it was very scary and the hotel staff didn’t care the worst part is that any calls coming into our room had to be from inside the hotel, we made a report but the staff did not seem empathetic to the situation. We also needed a taxi from downtown Guanajuato to the hotel because we were having a hard time finding one and called the hotel for help if they could send one for us and they declined any help… we will never stay here again

Disappointing

Property was good but could use a fridge or at the very least an ice bucket. The first night we got a call to the room asking if we had extra people because there was a black car with drugs and guns outside. Totally freaked us out. The lobby said they didn’t call and were going to audit the call because you can only call rooms from within the hotel. Never heard back so needless to say we barricaded ourselves at night. Who knows who called if it was a wrong number or a messed up prank.

Missing Maintenance AC, bathrooms and walls

Everything was great, from the staff to the cleanliness. In addition, the restaurant at the property serves great food.

Area of town was good. Unfriendly reception.the room was tired and needs refurbishing. TV didn't work. Toilet broken, flush handle fell off. Shower was quite good.

Upon arrival the staff was very friendly, especially Raul was awesome. Gave us great tips and has great knowledge of the hotel (Hacienda) itself and the city. N/a
