San Bernabé Tres

Place is amazing. Rafa is a total gentleman. A must stay. It will be the highlight of your trip. Location is good but not great. 1km walk to center which we enjoyed but may not be for everybody. You can always do Uber or cab. We had a car. Great safe parking.

Beautiful hotel with wonderful owners. Great value too and close to the main attractions.

The space was gorgeous and the service was incredible! The proprietor is the sweetest, kindest person--he helped me with my giant suitcase, explained everything in great detail, and was just a great conversationalist who was so welcoming and kind. Also--SO accommodating. I arrived after an overnight flight and expected to leave my luggage and then go be a zombie around town. Not the case--my room was ready for me and I was able to rest. THANK YOU! Location was a tiny bit out of the way if you'd prefer to be on foot, but very accessible via car (as well as on foot if you're a walker).

Furnishings and art were unique and wonderful. The host was helpful and so friendly. The building has been restored beautifully.

This is a unique and exceptional property, if you don't mind a 15-minute walk into the town center. It is quiet, beautifully appointed and felt very safe and secure. Highly recommend.

This is one of the nicest places I've ever stayed! It was exceptionally beautiful, peaceful and comfortable. The location was perfect with a relatively flat walking distance to Centro. I'm so glad that I read the other stellar reviews and chose to stay at Sanbernabe Tres. Rafael, the owner, was overly accommodating which was greatly appreciated. I was relieved that he spoke more English than I could speak Spanish so we were able to communicate. All in all I hope to return sometime in the future and stay once again at Sanernabe Tres!

Incredible experience

Overall love the decor, people and there’s breakfast in the morning. Feels very homey. I’m glad I bought my family there! One of our room had no place to sit beside two chairs. Was on the smaller side.

This is a beautiful house, filled with art, books, dishes, and furniture. Coming at Christmas was a bonus - it's nicely decorated. But the best thing about San Bernabe are the hosts and staff. Rafa and his wife are perfect hosts, and they are always available to answer a question or help book a driver, etc. I would have loved to see a full warm breakfast provided, and I think all the guests would agree (and perhaps be willing to pay a bit more).

Most beautiful place we have ever stayed! And it’s close to the centro (10 minutes walking). But absolutely quiet, which is a huge plus in Guanajuato! Staying in the Centro I cannot recommend!

Loved everything about this place! I was traveling with 2 other women for Cervantino. We chose Sanbernabe Tres because of the great reviews and the beautiful photos of the rooms. It turns out that everything was correct. This boutique hotel is perfect! Our host Rafael was incredibly helpful and accommodating. We arrived early and our rooms were ready. Late checkout was accommodated as well. Rafael helped us reserve taxis, recommended places for us to eat multiple times, and made dinner reservations for us. It’s obvious that restoring this old house, which used to house his mother’s school for teachers, is a passion for him. It shows in all the details; when we arrived, he gave us an extensive tour including our room options (each so unique that it was difficult to choose who slept where!), and took us thru the library and dining room, as well as the garden, which is currently being renovated. Our ginormous rooms offered tons of storage as well. The hotel is a bit out of town, and we are not fast walkers, so we would walk into the Center and Uber back in the evenings. Cervantino is incredibly crowded and we really appreciated the quiet our hotel offered. Staying at Sanbernabe Tres was a great and memorable experience, and all 3 of us highly recommend it. I wouldn’t chance a thing!

Beautiful hotel and very friendly owner. Only a 15 minute safe walk to the Teatro Juárez and the main activities.

Spacious, comfortable room. Allowed our little dog to join us. Incredibly friendly staff. Complimentary continental breakfast. The outdoor space was out of commission but it will be beautiful once it’s complete.

Awesome, beautiful property with outstanding service.

We liked the quiet location and the beautiful historic house. The host was very gracious and everything was in order. A simple breakfast was available with coffee, fruits and mexican sweet breads. We booked a large room and although there is no AC, two fans were in the room if needed. It was an easy 15 to 20 minute downhill walk to the historic center and we took a taxi back. The two things I would like to see in the future, is to have a firm pillow available for sleeping, and also a more comfortable chair to relax in.

The whole place is absolutely stunning. We enjoyed our stay and everyone went above and beyond to take care of us. The decor was amazing with so many special details. Absolutely beautiful!
