The breakfast was wonderful and the staff was super kind and helpful. I would love to stay there again. The only thing that I didn't like it was that my room was on the 11th floor and the elevator stops at the 10th floor, so we had to use the stairs. For me it wasn't a problem, but for my 80 y/o mother was a little difficult. Also the sheets didn't smell good.

Everything is great at this hotel, except for one thing. While this is a top notch hotel it is important for travelers to know this fact. The location is good and bad. It is just a few blocks away to the major tourist attraction of the Malecon. However, after 6pm all businesses in the area close down. No food, convenience stores, pharmacy, small eateries or restaurants, not even street vendors of any kind. Most Ecuadorian towns, small and large, tend to have a pharmacy on every block. So basically thist area is not safe to walk at night. Unless you take taxi to go somewhere in the evening, the area around this hotel after 6pm is a ghost town. As a tourist who likes to walk around a few blocks of my hotel for curiousity or mingle a bit, this is a major drawback. The hotel has a great restaurant that many people visit from breakfast to night time, but you should not venture out at night. I have been at this hotel many times, but sunce the attraction of the Malecon is not a factory any more, I will start exploring other options near the center of the city, although I realize that the entire city is not safe anywhere at night.

Excellent breakfast! Lots of choices The room had a musky mold odor, mentioned to the staff, they did offer to relocate me however I was told that all of the rooms at that particular tower were the same

Great location, friendly staff in the hotel and their restaurant, spacious rooms, AC works well for a hot and humid city. The quality of their free buffet was low. I used to enjoy their breakfast. The mixed ceviche the fish or the octopus was hard.

Centrally located very good breakfast. Room ver clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly. It was a little odd to check in the reception and in our case walk across a mall to our section of the hotel. We had an early flight so walking through a closed mall to the restaurant was different.
