Perfectly located between Aachen and Maastricht. The room was clean and cosy. However, our bathroom had no door - something we would have liked to know beforehand. We would not have booked that room. Breakfast was good for the price. Good option for a last minute short-stay.

We had a room for the night. The bar was pleasant. Breakfast was ok. We were not expected, it seemed that the manager/owner was not checking his inbox. So we waited for a room to be made ready and then that room was the furthest from the reception (bar) possible. The windows in the room were open (December with ice and snow in Limburg) and we were told to be careful with the heating as the fuel was expensive at the moment. There was no door on the bathroom/toilet by design. We did not feel welcome and it certainly was not warm.

* Central location in Gulpen, right on the Krijtlandpad route * Lovely big breakfast. I was well set up for a big day of walking * Two small roof terraces to enjoy sunny weather, but away from the hustle & bustle of the Markt * Light sleepers would benefit from earplugs as the hotel is located on the Markt, so there is noise from people socialising outside on the surrounding terraces * Blinds did not fully block out all light. Eye mask recommended if this would affect your sleep * Entrance to the hotel is via the restaurant. A little confusing and the staff tend to be focused more on dining patrons than checking you in. But once you have their attention, they give a lovely explanation about the area etc.
