Location is just great right at the main square of Gulpen and directly adjacent to the Geul river. After a hike we spent the afternoon on their terrace, we had dinner and we slept in one of their rooms.

breakfast was good this is a pub/restaurant with a couple of rooms above. the most rickety old staircase with missing banisters. 6 flights to get to top room, 2nd floor, serenated all night by pigeons as it was in the roof space. my room, for which i paid quite a bit more was described as LUXURY double room. no way, the bed even looked slept in. the wardrobe was a few hooks on the wall, the fridge and desk lamp were on a bank of sockets. however, it was a big room with a big bathroom. all 4 of us are old and to get our luggage to our rooms was awful. the staff offered no assistance at all. overall, terrible experience

Staff and reception were fine, our very spatious room was on the top (3rd) floor under the roof with 3 large windows (with blinds). We found a fridge, a TV, a sofa and a table. All the sanitary facilities worked nicely. The hotel / restaurant has a very nice terrace where you can drink after your (our) walk. Breakfast was good, served at the table (no buffet), but enough to choose from. All in all a good price for the offering! Some of the facilities were e bit outdated and needed some maintenance (handle of 1 window almost broken, slider in the shower was a bit loose). The bed was a bit soft to our liking (which is personal). There is no elevator (not a problem for us, but be aware if you're sleeping top-floor). Breakfast started at 09:00. If you aim at hikers this may be too late (was okay for us)

The accommodation cannot be in a better location, our family loved it, our accommodation consisted of 2 separate rooms, double bed each, with views over the square. The breakfast was perfect. We only stayed one night unfortunately. The pannenkoekmolen, highly recommended, is walking distance, so is the Gulpener Brewery. Excellent setting, highly reccomend! Nothing here!

Comfortable and spacious room, with pleasant balcony overlooking the square. Delicious and large breakfast included. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect. We had a really good stay here. Room could have been a little cleaner

We booked two rooms, and they were both quite spacy. The Hotel is nicely located in the center of Gulpen. All we needed was presented. We had a nice evening at the restaurant, the staff was nice and the atmosphere there pleased us. We were happy about the room, but for older people the staircase can be a bit of a struggle.

Really nice room looking over the square, additional sitting room as well. Lovely sized bathroom, very clean, nice breakfast and close to the bus station to get a bus to Valkenburg. Nothing to complain about.

We arrived at the property checked in and were asked to pay straight away, which we did. We were shown to the outside door by the owner which lead to the room on the second floor. the stairs were not clean, it was also narrow steep and not very safe.. The room was tatty, there were extensions leads left attached in the room possibly for use. The sheet and duvet cover were black, the bottom sheet was creased and stained. Even though we had paid we left. We are not prepared to accept such a disgusting situation we prefer to lose the cash.

The location is excellent and the room was spacey. The hotel has only 3 rooms and it turned out i had the one in the top of the building. I had to climb 6 stairs for that and since it was a very hot day and i was tired already, i almost did not make it to the top floor. There is no elevator and i did not expect this overload of exercise. I think it should be in the description, so customers who are not in top condition can choose if they are prepared to face such a long, steep climb. The bed was really too soft for me. I had a drink and dinner on the terrace and that location is fabulous. But it turned out to be very hard to attract the attention of the waitresses, with every order throughout my meal. I was not in a hurry, but this was an annoying lack of service.
