It's too bright to sleep at the first room in the early morning. I hit my head against the restroom door a few times.

The door inside of the building was weird. The door you could see the other side was public area. This house is connected to the bar and the dress shop. You could see people walking by and the bar is open until 1am. They can always peak inside of your place. This sliding door had small lock. Other than this door the property was great.

Naoko, our host was very friendly from the start and helped us to arrange the delivery of our luggages directly at the property. The house was ideally located in the city, near the old waterfront warehouses and the ropeway station. All the rooms were beautifully decorated with upcycled furniture, green plants, old wooden doors and even a working record player (including a collection of eclectic records). The kitchen corner was great, with all you need to prepare a good meal with fresh and local ingredients bought from the next-door supermarket . We had even the opportunity to use the barbecue available on one of the terraces for our last evening. We will most definitely rent again this very nice house the next we visit Hakodate :-)

The property was well equipped with everything we needed including fun music tapes and vinyl. It was easy to find and centrally located with the supermarket just across the street. It also had a unique style with lovely art and decor that we really enjoyed.

Host was accommodating and responsive. The place was clean and accurate to pictures. The location was fantastic and check-in/check-out was easy. Wi-Fi didn't work, despite them saying it did. It was non-existent. This may not affect some people who are staying here, but it impacted our stay.

Great and strategic location, smells great, very interesting and eclectic interior design with some vintage-styled vinyl turntables, and cassettes. All the amenities provided are in really good shape and great quality. Not much really.

The house was beautiful, clean and cozy especially during a February winter. Around a 5 minute walk to the nearest tram which wasn't too bad, but also pretty much right next to a grocery which was very convenient!

Love the homely layout and location of small town hostel at Motomachi. makes moving around easy from the hotel. location is private and not easily seen as you need to walk down a short path to unit which is behind the street front units. it was quiet and we slept well. staff was also very friendly and explained as much as he could during check-in. layout was a little irregular as the hotel is part of an old building. but this also gave the place an unique character.
