Terrific breakfasts, spacious room. Easy access to Motomachi district and ropeway. Short taxi or tram ride to train station We had trouble finding places to eat around there. Many were closed or said they had run out of food by 7:30 pm
-
Nice little building, very cosy. Excellent staff, and very nice rooms with comfy beds. A bit off of the main attractions and the train station but serviceable by the street trolley. Would stay again. Nothing
-
Small, cosy and comfortable hotel in Hakodate close to the Mt. Hakodate Ropeway. Super friendly and helpful staff.
-
Lovely breakfast. Huge room. No onsen or exercise room.
-
Large room, super helpful staff Spa was closed during my stay
-
Large room. Loved the lounge with free prosecco and wine. Lovely place. The hotel was the highlight of the visit.

Beautiful property and outstanding staff. Nothing

This is the best place to stay in Hakodate! It's a lovely boutique hotel in a great location to walk around and explore. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. Coffee, tea, and wine are free of charge in the lobby! And the suite room was huge with a large soaking tub and 2 balconies. We liked Hakodate even more than Sapporo, with more charm and old town feel. Absolutely nothing

Outstanding customer service; spacious, well-appointed room with commanding view of the town; excellent breakfast can't think of anything
-
Services and staff were awesome !! I would to come back again .
-
Not the hotel's fault, but If the trams are having delays, it's a 25 minute walk from Hakodate ekimae.

The ropeway (gondola) was closed this week for maintenance, but I still enjoyed walking in the neighborhood. Many nearby restaurants close very early during the week. Perhaps a list of restaurants that stay open after 8 pm?

Excellent service, large, comfortable rooms and a wonderful breakfast

What we like most is the willingness to serve both on the front desk and especially the restaurant. For the desk, both the staffs (lady and gentleman) are eagerly serve and patiently explain things to us both inside and outside hotel. The staffs in the restaurant are exceptionally to be mention, the waiter is neat in his job and perfectly in service . He performs the job with his proud. The chef is also great in cooking and care for their guests. Thank you for make our stay great! This hotel is in walking distance to the pier and interesting area around For the hotel - no. But for the trip : the rope way station is closed 1 month until november for maintainence.

The stuff is wonderfull, the room was exellent, breakfast was great. I had my 60 birthday and baloons and champaign and a "happy birthay" baloon hanged over our bed. The absence of onsen.
-
Great service, love the size of the room and amenities. I enjoyed the breakfast a lot

Exceptional experience. Large kitchen suite with what appears to be hand built stereo speakers and tube amp, DVD player w extensive cd and dvd collections. Would like to meet the person responsible for such a big investment in the stereos. Adjacent to Mt Hakodate 'Ropeway' and the many sites in Motomachi. Breakfasts were exquisite w many courses/ taste experiences. Also, cooler here than Sapporo in summer. Departing

Generous delicious breakfast, large room. Nothing

The experience here is the perfect example of the Japanese concept of "omotenashi", where it is the goal is to provide hospitality not for any other reason but to ensure the guest's well-being. You always had the feeling you were being taken care of without excess or intrusiveness. Wifi in the room was sometimes a bit unreliable (sites not loading or taking too long to load).

These people walk the extra mile for their guests. The room was fantastic, even with a stereophile worthy super stereo and a full set for making hand brewed freshly ground coffee. Nice beds and duvets. Free drinks, incl wine, in the lobby. They really do their best to make their guests feel special, at a reasonable price. The breakfast was huge and really really delicious.
