The property was very serene and calming. Loved the ambience. I didn’t like carpeting in the main bedroom. I wished it was hardwood like the rest of the room.

The facilities with the coffee shop and free bird terase The view in the room Wverything seemed a little too controlled and give the impression that the stuff knows your every move For example they would call in the morning to ask when do you come for breakfast without considering that one might be sleeping or simply chilling

It was a beautiful setting and wonderful architecture. Wonderful staff and plentiful and interesting meals. Our first night’s room was very lovely. We stayed an extra night. That room was fine, but not as beautiful as the room we had the first night.

Amazing lighting and art, friendly staff that remember my name from previous visits, amazing breakfast beyond any other hotel I’ve experienced. The rooms are cozy and truly a retreat. Onsen water quality is exceptional

The Food in the Woodside Dining tasted like Propane Gas, especially the Vegetables.

Amazing hotel. This place is a real treat and met all of our expectations. The staff, breakfast, the rooms, the onsen and the free coffee and tea rounds it up to a beautiful stay in Hakone. This is a good place to calm down and enjoy some silence.

Could has better black our curtains, the side bed is a bit tough being the sofa. The bathroom is very simple. Decoration in the room could be better.

We loved the design and atmosphere, very relaxing. The room was beautiful and spacious. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great. We loved the Onsen and how well equipped it was, and also great breakfast with variety of options to choose from. Very recommended

Beautiful tranquil setting with open modern wooden buildings. I loved everything. The onsen curtains need to be updated to ones without holes.

I loved our room. I loved the common areas in the retreat. I loved the complimentary socks and the pajamas and jacket. The food was wonderful. The staff were friendly and helpful. The feel of the property was unique, peaceful, and inviting. I wish there had been a cold plunge or cool pool in the Onsen. I would've been able to enjoy it for much longer! But I loved the view of the hillside.
