Good location, good breakfast, comfortable futons, very friendly and helpful staff, nice drying room for ski gear, nice onsen Nothing, but slightly long walk to the gondola

I liked the traditional feel and the amenities, especially the breakfast, free coffee and tea, and the TV My TV did not have a working remote because the batteries were dead. The staff should check this in the future. When I told the staff, they asked me to change the batteries. The staff should be able to do this, a guest should not have to. I know it was winter, but the rooms were unbelievably warm.

Close to Happone Centre and bus terminal. Spacious room, great breakfast and an amazing onsen. But that is was an issue but hotel is on the older side and the room temperature seemed to be set, so when to hot open windows to control.

I visited with a group of 7 total and everything exceeded our expectations. The owner was very friendly, always available to help and sort out various things like Yamato Transport, dinner reservations, taxis, and more. The onsen was amazing after a day on the mountain, I loved that there was a sliding door to help outside airflow. Sitting in the onsen and watching the snow fall was magical. The location is perfect, you are a short walk to the bus station (about 5 minutes), a short walk to the slopes if you want to ski/ride in Hakuba (~10 minutes), close to Lawsons, close to restaurants, close to everything! There's a lounge that's fun if you're visiting with friends, we would play games and eat takeaway meals here together. I also loved the breakfast and am honestly shocked by some of the negative reviews of breakfast that I've seen. It felt incredibly varied (truly something for everyone). I think Japanese or Western preferences would be satisfied here. Staff were so friendly and kind, a great way to start the day. The on-site laundry was super convenient; there is detergent for 100 yen you can purchase. I would absolutely stay here if I came to Hakuba again. I can't think of anything. It's a great place.

Location. Onsen was great. Breakfast good. Staff helpful. No dinner service or shuttle to slopes. Rooms could do with an upgrade, lighting in room was poor.

We had a great stay! The hotel offers only Japanese-style rooms, but they were very comfortable. The onsen was excellent, and we also really enjoyed the private onsen. The service was outstanding, and it’s a lovely family-owned hotel. The location was great, close to restaurants and shops, and very convenient for ski shuttle buses to the lifts. We hope to come back!

Staff was extremely helpful - room was very spacious - free onsen was a bonus - oh and the breakfast was really good

The breakfast was homey, plentiful and buffet style. The dining area was also spacious and super relaxing. We stayed in the traditional japanese room and it was completely fine sleeping on the floor in futons. There was sufficient heating as well for the colder nights. The wifi connection was good to do work as well. The location was pretty good if you wanted to be close to the Happo One Bus Terminal only a few minutes walk away. Overall a pretty decent stay and good value for money. I particularly enjoyed this hotel because it was a family run hotel too and it's always nice to support the locals. The bonus was that there was an onsen as well included in your accommodation which was nice to use after a long day on the slopes. Nothing! I enjoyed everything.

Generally good traditional Japanese hotel. OK size rooms for Japan. 15 minutes walk to Happo One. Not too far from the bus station to access rest of the Valley. Good breakfast Not the most modern hotel, but adequate. Shower is traditional Japanese which you can only hold and has to be rated as inadequate.

I enjoyed so much the stay, the breakfast and the onsen particularly and the staff super nice! Maybe the walking from the main hall to the annex, but aside from that all good

Location was good for Happo area and the onsen temp was perfect. Also has an elevator so you don't need to climb stairs.

The staff were friendly, accommodating to my needs and helpful. I also liked the ski/snowboard room on the first floor, very convenient. It’s sort of a walk to the gondola/lifts, however, close to the shuttle stop/convenience store. Thinking about it now, it’s probably the best spot to be in.
