Bears Den Mountain Lodge

Bears Den was the perfect accomodation for our ski trip in Hakuba valley. The ski lodge is cosy and has all the necessary amenities, for example, a drying room and laundry room. The room is very spacious and the bed is large and comfortable. The best part of the lodge, is of course the host, Lesley. She is extremely sweet and accomodating, she will pick you up from the bus stop and drop you off at the ski resort in the morning. She also makes an amazing breakfast, which fuels you up so you are ready for the slopes right away. I would highly recommend Bears Den to anyone. Nothing.

Leslie is an amazing host, who looks after her guests. Every day it was fresh breakfast cooked for everyone. She also helped us by giving us a lift to the snow resort for the first time and she drove us to the train station on our last day, which was so kind. The accommodation feels like a cozy home. The location is just 10 minutes walk to the snow resort very accessible

Great service by Leslie in her awesome place at Hakuba. Communication with the host was exceptional and helped us with our whole stay in Hakuba, from food, ski rentals, and service to the ski location. There's also laundry in house and a nice common area to relax at night. Highly recommended! Only downside is the lack of washlets in the toilets :( I hope the toilet seat can be upgraded to have washlets soon. :)

What a memorable trip, only enhanced by the generous services provided by the owner “Lesley”. Plenty of advice provided to get to the best spots for skiing and dinner. Perfectly located if you want to be a short drive out of the main Hakuba area!

The location was perfect to access Hakuba Goryu and Hakuba47 parks. Many restaurants to pick from for dinner in the area. Lodge facilities were terrific and great spaces to just chill after a day of snowboarding. Easy walking access to Hakuba Goryu ski area. Lesley went above and beyond during out stay to make us feel welcome and enjoy our time. Made it feel like we were staying with a friend.

Very lovely property and spacious rooms with everything required for a 6night trip. Walkable distance to Goryu ski resort and Lesley was an amazing host.

Lesley was an amazing, kind and welcoming host. She was incredibly helpful and we were sorted out with ski and gear rentals and ski passes for our stay right away. The bed was very comfortable and the room had heated flooring.

A wonderful cozy lodge located in a very peaceful forest that is just 10 minutes walk to Toomi Gondola Station next to Escal Plaza. Hakuba Train Station is just 10 minutes drive from the lodge and Leslie, a very hospitable and kind host picked me up from Hakuba station. The room is very clean and provided amenities that I needed. Nice TV room with collection of books & games. Bed is very comfortable. Shower is great. Breakfast is excellent (locally sourced eggs are very yummy). I am definitely coming back ! None
