The breakfast was delicious. Very close to the shuttle and the Goryu ski resort. Lots of great restaurants walkable near by. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The lodge was very cozy. Would love to stay here again It is far from the city centre, this wasn't an issue for us, but something to consider

Cosy lodge with friendly and helpful staff. Monica went above and beyond to store and send our ski bags and luggage on after our stay. The lodge is in a peaceful location surrounded by trees. Breakfast was a welcome inclusion. The shared living space is comfortable and warm. Some nice areas to relax at the end of the day. Location was difficult without a car. We spent a small fortune getting around the valley over the 8 days and the walk up the hill to Escal Plaza is not a lot of fun in ski boots. Suggest using a locker and wearing snow / hiking boots. We came across a number of people struggling carrying skis and slipping on ice. Rooms really need more storage space . Our clothes had to stay in suitcases cases and pushed under the bed for the week. No hanging space either. Beds and pillows were both quite hard. We had to ask for fresh towels and no mid clean offered of rooms over 8 days.

The hosts were wonderful and so friendly. They were apologetic when other people staying there were disruptive. Breakfast was basic but nice. Location was good, just a shortish walk up the snowy roads to get to Goryu ski hill and the bus terminal for other hills. There was a dry room for our snow gear after days on the hill. All up I would recommend as a comfy place to stay. Only down side was the bed was quite hard and became uncomfortable after multiple days sleeping on it. They also didn't have a phone and as I was travelling internationally I didn't have the ability to make phone calls myself to call a taxi or the rental company I hired snow gear through. The host did lend me their personal phone once but didn't have access to it when I needed it to phone a taxi to the bus terminal.

Very homely place in a superb location with super hosts. I cannot recommend this place enough. We will stay again without any hesitation Nothing - it was all good

The location was amazing as well as the amenities. Lee and Monica were very welcoming and helpful. The lodge is cute, welcoming and very comfortable. It was perfect.

- very helpful and friendly staff - free breakfast - unlimited free tea and coffee - clean - comfortable and cozy - met new people and all played cards in the common area - very easy to get to the ski slopes and escal plaza - shuttle bus stop right next to the property

Great friendly hosts. Has a nice cabin style, personal feel to it. Short walk through lovely forrest to the ski field Goryu/47. Nice menu for who wants to dine-in. Otherwise there a couple of dinner alternatives within short walking distance. Loved it that Santana is located in a forrest setting and that it is quiet and private. The connection to the other ski fields in the valley takes a long time with the Hakuba Shuttle bus.

Location, all home comforts, relaxed , all amenities working. Albert and Fumi (hosts) friendly,accommodating and made my solo trip warm with personalised care. Nothing. Santana ideal place.

We had a great stay, Albert picked us up and dropped us off at the bus stop, and was really helpful with local knowledge, the vibe was cool in the lodge at nights as well. We'll definitely recommend this place!

The place was cosy and warm with a lovely bar, living area and fire downstairs and bedrooms upstairs. It was so convenient having coffee and breakfast served every morning, and it is walking distance to one of the mountains, Goryu. The owners were very helpful and chatty and the whole place had a great vibe - definitely recommend!

Great breakfast and lovely hosts. Such a great location. And lovely common area where everyone could hang out and meet in the warmth of the fire. The beds could be a bit more comfortable - very warm but mattress very firm and pillows not comfortable.

The food menu is by far one of the best in the area. It is extremely convenient and a blessing - especially with a 4-year-old. The location and the atmosphere are a reason for us to come back again - hopefully every year.
