Eric and his family are fantastic hosts that make this property memorable. Highly recommend them. They even went out of their way for us to find our misshipped gear and to drive to find it when needed. Everything was OK. Hakuba in general just needs more transport options.

My friends and I enjoyed our stay at Hakuba Snow Fox from start to end! The host, Eric, is such a lovely person. He picked us up from/dropped us off at the station. He even let us check in early, which was much appreciated after a long travel day! The location is excellent; close to a number of shuttle stops, quick walk to Echoland Main Street, and about 20min walk to 7-11 and a grocery store. Can’t think of any! Location, breakfast, amenities, and host were all 10/10.

The location is good, a short easy walk to the restaurants and to the shuttle bus pick up locations. Shared facilities were clean and dining area cozy. Daily breakfast was included and very good. Menu was changed daily. Heated drying room for skis and boot dryers supplied. Staff were friendly and super helpful when our ski bag didn’t show up as expected from the shipping service!! Would recommend the Snow Fox!!

Simple breakfast. Walking distance to Echo land and bus to ski resort. Prefer having boiled eggs and cereal for breakfast. Also prefer to stay in the common area after 10pm.

Nothing!

Lovely to meet Eric and Ellen the owner. They were super nice and helpful! Ellen literally saved my day when she lent me her ski poles when someone took mine by mistakes in the dry room. Lovely house, nice staff, good breakfast and a very fair price. Definitely recommend Snow Fox. Nothing

The breakfast? Quirky but undeniably good—a fun little adventure to start your day. And speaking of adventures, Eric, the owner, is an absolute gem. He’s like a human guidebook with insider tips on the best spots to visit, the easiest ways to get around, and all the local secrets that make Hakuba even more special. The communal lounge is a highlight, offering a fantastic space to meet fellow travelers from all over the world. Whether you’re swapping stories, sharing a laugh, or planning your next outing, it’s the heart of the Snow Fox experience. The staff, many of whom live on-site, are just as wonderful. Qko and Amelie, in particular, were absolute stars—friendly, helpful, and always up for an interesting chat. They truly elevated our stay! Location-wise, you couldn’t ask for more. Hakuba Snow Fox is perfectly situated, with easy access to resorts, bars, and restaurants. The nightlife is vibrant, and great food options abound, though I highly recommend booking your dinner reservations early. That said, we managed to snag seats with just a short wait on a few occasions—totally worth it! All in all, Hakuba Snow Fox feels like home away from home but with a fun, international twist. If you’re heading to Hakuba, you won’t want to miss it!

Good location in Echoland. Good breakfast which changed every day. Very helpful and friendly staff (thank you Eric, Queko and Kuko). Close to bus stops for ski hills. Willing to receive ski luggage in advance via Yamada. Be warned - if you get the shared bathroom option, this is a large room with several shower heads, meaning you may not have privacy during your shower. Fortunately I booked the private bathroom option! Didn’t really have fridge access - had to ask staff for this. Common area was not very comfortable - made up of chairs and tables rather than couches etc. And was a little cold. Only 1 pillow on the beds.

Great location, lovely host. Eric was friendly, forthcoming and responsive.

The staff was very friendly and the restaurant on site was very good and was a nice spot to meet new people and talk about the ski area

Great location, clean rooms & great breakfast Nothing

A bit of a walk from Hakuba bus terminal but the beautiful scenery distracts you from the distance and time. I didn’t mind walking so much.
