Altstadthotel Harburg

Breakfast and room was good. Needs an elevator in it.

It had old fashion charm. They even used actually keys. Once on the train, which is a few blocks away was 20 minutes from Hamburg Central Station On the fourth floor with no elevator

The room was clean and comfortable. It included a small fridge for keeping beverages cool and an electric kettle with complimentary tea provided by the hotel. The bed was very comfortable, and the furniture appeared to be quite new. The bathroom was spacious and spotless, though the shower cabin was a bit small and the showerhead slightly worn. The location was fine for me, as I used to live not far from the hotel. However, I did feel a bit uneasy about how the area has declined recently, especially when arriving by train. It’s not dangerous by any means, but it has become somewhat run-down, with several empty shops and a few homeless people around. Of course, this is beyond the hotel’s control, and the hotel itself remains excellent. Still, I think future guests should be aware of this in advance so they’re not taken by surprise.

The lack of an elevator could be an issue for some people

Great location, close to metro station for easy transport into Hamburg. Shopping and restaurants nearby. Staff was amazing and helpful at ever turn. Parking was easy onsite. Bit tight but nice. Felt secure with the loaction

Also there was a spider hanging from the ceiling above the bed. The location is a bit noisy even during night due to the near rail ways (cargo rail ways)

Very charming and centrally located. Parking at the property If you are on the third floor; you get some great exercise! But reception will carry your bags up which is nice

The quaint old school type room gave a nostalgic vibe and a pleasant stay. No express checkout system and the room tariff was collected while checking out and not during check-in, and that's why express check out was a difficult possibility. Although, after requesting them they did still take the tariff fee 1 day prior to check out and showed us where we could drop the key so we didn't lose out on much time during check out.

I've asked them 3 weeks after my trip if they could give me an invoice (which they did immediately) and they also send me my hot water bottle that I had forgotten there! They were also very sweet on the phone :)
