A wonderful stay at this hotel. The hotel is elegant, classy, and very comfortable. The rooms are beautiful, the atmosphere is relaxing The reception staff were not very helpful or welcoming when I accidentally booked the wrong date. They claimed there was no availability for the room I wanted, but Booking support managed to arrange it in the end.

The junior suite was fabulous. Absolutely outstanding, Nice and spacy. All freshly renovated. Very tasteful decoration. Excellent view on the lake. Away from any possible noise. We absolutely loved it. The construction going on in Hamburg City does affect the Hotel with a very difficult traffic situation. Not manageable by the hotel but unfortunately creating discomfort. Traffic jams right in front of the main entrance, late arrival of transportation . again not manageable by the hotel.

Upon check in I was greeted in a most friendly way, my room was already ready despite the fact that I was already at the Hotel by 11.30am. That I much appreciated especially because I was told on the phone a few days earlier that early check in can only be made against an addl fee. I opted for a non Buffet b/fast as I am not a big eater and was nicely treated with a small b/fast in the Lobby, which I also appreciated. I would politely suggest that the rooms desperately need to be renovated. There were a view things I didn't like but there are not that much worth mentioning them.

Everyone was very nice, and the breakfast was great. The interior courtyard was very nice. The beds are much too soft. And there is no outdoor terrace to see the Aussenalster. That was a huge disappointment.

This is a top notch, high end hotel. The elegance old world decor and the impeccably trained and gracious staff made for a charming experience.. The hotel staff was so helpful and accommodating with any need we had. Really incredible Everything!

A wonderful hotel in a great location on the river Alster, only minutes from the train station and for us in walking distance to all attractions. St George district is just around the corner with nice Cafes and Restaurants. Our room facing the courtyard was very comfortable, comfortable bed and seating and a very nice shower. The staff was very friendly. We enjoyed a great room service breakfast that had everything on.
