Cozy beds, spacious room, nice old design of the building with antique vibes, great view to the trees and garden of the Hamburg University, delicious breakfast, very central location, very near to congress center, The internet connection was very slow

I had a very pleasant stay overall. The room was super spacious, spotlessly clean (with no carpets!), quiet, and well equipped (for example there was a proper hairdryer). As I was pregnant, I was a little worried about the breakfast options, but there were plenty of safe and delicious choices available. The location is perfect if you're visiting the university or the congress centre, and I was able to visit all the main touristic spots by foot as well. Really easy connection to the airport by train. Definitely good value for money for Hamburg. The Wi-Fi in our room was very poor, so if you need a reliable connection, perhaps explicitly request a room with goof Wi-Fi. Reception was also a bit unreliable, I went there a couple of times during opening hours but found the door locked with no one answering. The staff serving breakfast may not be super fluent in English, so if you have particular requests, I'd recommend learning how to make it in German. Finally, the room soundproofing could have been better, as noise from neighbouring rooms (coughing, phone calls) was quite noticeable.

location is close enough to the convention center. This is good. It is convenient to city attractions; 30-45 minutes walk. Breakfast nicely served, good selection, friendly staff. Reception staff were cooperative and pleasant. The room size is ok for one - sizewise. Furnitures (and one of the windows) are worn out, no convenient sitting in the room. TV screen too small for its location. Only BBC available for non-German speakers. WIFI very weak, very slow and need to log in every day or twice a day. No A/C or fans available, despite the hottest week in years. Would have been nice to have a coffee machine and an ice machine publically or in the room, as there is no on-site or nearby kiosk for cold drinks, small amenities etc. Room was serviced superficially, with minimal toiletries supplied. I was charged for the whole stay, upfront, with no refund. This is a trap. It is unacceptable. One night charge for a no-show are standard everywhere else.

At the university and by the conference centre---awesome venue! No fan or air conditioning---this would normally be fine, but my stay was during a heatwave.

Late night check in with the night guard! As always, these places could be a bit lower priced!

Central position, large and bright room, very clean, comfy bed, delicious breakfast and kind staff, - cleaning girls and the blonde one at the breakfast time also very friendly with our dog :) Upon our arrival, the girl at the reception desk seemed more focused on her phone than on our arrival; since it was early, I asked her to store our bags, but she simply told us to leave it on some chairs at the entrance. Maybe a dedicated area would have made us feel safer and more welcomed.
