Front desk staff are so helpful! Rooms are comfortable and clean with good amenities. Central location and very walkable. Cute rooftop pool. Washcloths!!! Some towels need replacing, nowhere to put on makeup with decent light (maybe a makeup mirror would help), breakfast ends early and staff are a bit impatient (clearing before you are done), gym is insanely small and poorly equipped (a treadmill and a couple of weights),

Good location, superb breakfast, cosy room in french style. Great appreciation to hotel staff ~Ms Jane who gave me a big hand to buy 'The Hanoi Train' ticket with specific carriage & seat number which foreignor could not book online without local card or bank account?? Spot lighting in the entire room is not cosy enough, recommend a wall lamp above the mirror of the bathroom so that guest could see the face more clearly?

Location was very close to everything... But not in an area that was too crowded which was good. The rooms were nice and surprisingly quiet. I couldn't hear any of the sound from the busy street out front. Staff were very friendly.

Our room was clean and the location was great, also our room wasn't noisy at all. For a person who gets woken up by the slightest noise, That was a huge bonus. The only recommendation is bigger body wash and shampoo or 2 bottles when 2 people share a room. We struggled to both wash with one bottle.

I had a wonderful stay at Le Chanvre Hanoi Hotel & Spa. The location is fantastic—close to everything yet peaceful enough to relax. The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to help, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The room was well-prepared and even came with fresh fruit, adding a warm and welcoming touch. Breakfast was lovely, with a great selection and a beautiful view to start the day. The Christmas decorations were stunning and added such a warm, festive atmosphere throughout the hotel. A special bonus is the egg coffee café right next door—it’s excellent and definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Hanoi. I’d happily stay here again.

The only reason I wouldn't give this place a 10/10 was a weird hair dryer incident. I used the hair dryer once, left it on the bathroom counter (it had a crack in it when I removed it from the closet but I thought nothing of it at the time). When we returned from the day I was told that housekeeping noticed it was broken and that I would have to pay for the hair dryer. After explaining that I was certain I hadn't dropped it and it was already damaged when I used it earlier they dropped the issue. I haven't experienced treatment like this, especially at higher end hotels, so I was a little disappointed.

The staff were very friendly and extremly helpful. There was a good selection for breakfast and we enjoyed the views looking over the town from the restaurant. The hotel was well decorated. The location is great for walking and exploring Hanoi. There is a design issue with the shower and bath which leads to some flooding on the bathroom floor.

As much as I loved the location and the hotel itself, it's the staff who made this place a gem. All the staff we met were super helpful and friendly, with really good communication skills and lovely smiles. I'll definitely come back again!

The staff were amazing and I have an issue seeing in the dark and they made sure I could see in my room which was fantastic. The drinks at the the skybar are exorbitant.
