Nothing really apart from the pool which was small and too warm

Room was amazing, they upgraded our room for free! And when we arrived early in the morning, before the check in time, they kindly provided us with breakfast

The hotel enjoys a fantastic location within walking distance of Hoan Kiem Lake, the Old Quarter, restaurants, cafés, shopping streets, and many of Hanoi's main attractions. It was the perfect base for exploring the city. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well maintained, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was warm and welcoming. I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Grace and the entire hotel team for their professionalism, kindness, and hospitality. Every staff member I met was courteous, helpful, and always greeted guests with a smile. Their positive attitude and willingness to assist made my stay even more enjoyable. A special thank you to Grace for her outstanding support and attention to detail throughout my stay. Her efforts, along with the excellent service provided by the whole team, left a very positive impression. I truly enjoyed my time at Lucien Hanoi Lakeside Hotel and would happily stay here again on a future visit to Hanoi. Firstly, the staff is incredible, you truly feel welcomed and relaxed from the moment you step foot on location. Speaking of location, is perfectly located, a short walk away from the lake, markets, and city life. The gym is small and the treadmills didn't work, but it was also quite empty so not sure how many people care about that.

Our stay at the Lucien Hanoi Lakeside Hotel was second to none. The location in the city is fantastic and the cleanliness and comfort of our room and the other common spaces gave us the relaxation and peace of mind we needed after a long day of traveling. But most impressive part about this hotel is the incredible staff that went above and beyond in taking care of us. From communication before our check in all the way until the end where they walked us to our ride to the airport, the staff ensured we had everything we needed and were having a good experience. In our less than 24 hour stay at Lucien, I could name no less than 10 ways they went out of their way to make our time in Hanoi better.

Everything , most importantly the team making our stay and the experience truly memorable. Since this is the second part of our stay in continuation of our first phase stay 24-27May , the break of a night because we had booked an overnight cruise and we returned back the following day in the evening and continued our holiday stay at Lucien . As I had mentioned , each and every member of the team made our stay and experience a memorable one . Dana stood out for her exceptional and deft handling of our stay ensuring we had the best experience and Frank always ready to help with information .

Centrally located in the old quarter , stones throw away from the Hoan Kiem Lake . Exceptional team , from the bell boys to the Managers , each and every one were genuine and honest in their attitude, always ready to help with a smile. A big shout out to Grace for making the arrangements , Dana for ensuring our stay was as comfortable and pleasant as possible , not forgetting Frank for his attention briefing us with all the local map/logistics , then Luna , Lily and the rest of the team , all of them made our stay memorable . We had split our stay in two parts 24-27May & 28-30May ,as we had booked an overnight cruise and had to leave some of our luggage with the Hotel left luggage . It was a breeze , the team ensured a seamless transition , we never felt we had actually left the hotel . While our stay was short , the experience left a lasting impression , we will certainly visit again . Even if there were one , the staff and the team made it up . Never let us feel any short coming’s .

There was no pool, only a big jacuzzi

We arrived very late just before 9pm and have not had dinner. I asked Julie at reception and she recommended a local restaurant less than 100m away which opened until 10pm and had excellent Vietnamese cuisine. We also had an early flight, and Julie had us access to the buffet breakfast 15 mins before opening time to allow a quick meal. She offered a takeaway breakfast if we wanted to without asking. The room were exceptionally clean, and a very comprehensive breakfast buffet. Wifi was exceptionally good with speed in excess of 150/150 Mbps. Managed to download a few Netflix series on the iPad for on the road viewing. I did walk upstairs, but did not see the pool, so not sure if the description was accurate. The lift was not airconditioned, and it is a small issue, but it would make the hotel a standout from the rest if it was.

The location in Hanoi Old Quarter was great and was walkable to lots of restaurants and activities. Out of all the hotels that we stayed at in Vietnam, including other 5 star hotels, Lucien hotel has the best and friendliest staff. The breakfast selection was small but still excellent. Bed was extremely comfortable and great AC to combat the hot humid weather in Vietnam. N/A

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The room was very comfortable and offered all the amenities you would expect from an upscale hotel — modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed for a relaxing stay. The location is truly one of its biggest strengths. It is perfectly situated in the heart of the city center, making it incredibly convenient for food, drinks, shopping, and activities around the lake and surrounding areas. Everything felt easily accessible and within walking distance. What really stood out was the exceptional customer service. The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and genuinely customer-focused, always greeting guests with smiles and positive energy at every interaction. Their hospitality made the stay feel even more special. I was especially touched by how gracious and caring the staff were when they provided over-the-counter medication to help alleviate my sprained wrist discomfort. They also kindly stored our luggage for several days while we traveled to Sapa and Ninh Binh, which made our trip logistics so much easier and stress-free. That level of kindness, flexibility, and attentiveness went far beyond expectations and showed how much they truly care about their guests’ well-being and overall experience. Overall, an excellent stay with outstanding service, a prime location, and upscale comfort. Highly recommended!
