Smell from toilet , noise from guests
-
Accessible and in old quarters. Washroom could be cleaner
-
That I had to walk a bit in the rain from main road, because car can not come in the small road
-
Good and friendly No like

The location is good and easy to walk to the old quarter. The noise from the street is very bad, the hotel is located in front of a market which is open at 5am. even during the night, you will still hear noisy bikes and motorcycles passing. I couldnt sleep at all which made my trip bad as I was tired from the lack of sleep.

Great location. The staff were very accommodating!

Good location, beds were comfy, felt safe, pretty good for the affordable price Bathroom sink was very very clogged, room was small and bathroom was tiny

Nothing!

It was super central in old quarter. Quiet, clean and comfortable. The front staff and cleaning staff were super nice and friendly! Tu (guy stuff) and the girl staff (didn’t get her name) were super friendly and helpful at all times! Slightly too small

Although the property is around the public market kinda trouble to find at first but this is on me I’m kinda tired. nothing, they let me check in earlier because I’m just gonna be there for few hours. And the receptionist speak English she’s very nice.

I had a wonderful stay here! The receptionists, especially Juliet and Tu, were very friendly and welcoming. Juliet in particular was exceptional—always willing to help with travel-related questions and arrangements, which made my trip so much easier. The staff were also very accommodating to our needs and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. The hotel’s location is excellent, right in Hanoi’s Old Quarter on a vibrant street full of energy, shops, and food options. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Hanoi! The property feels a bit old and might benefit from some light renovation, such as fresh paint in the hallways or exterior.
-
The location is not good. It’s a street market right when you come out
-
Very good stuff and location

As soon as I arrived Julie at the front desk welcomed me and showed me my room. Her service was perfect and she offered great recommendations for things to do. I booked a small room for myself, and I paid the same price I would’ve paid for a shared room in a hostel. I was not expecting much because of the cheap price and the ratings on Booking.com, but I was extremely pleased with my experience. This place deserves a better rating. It was clean, the service was great, and the location is ideal.
-
There is no breakfast like it says here on booking.com Rooms did not have a safe like it showed in the pictures.
-
The staff was very welcoming and pleasant. Willing to make your stay better. The location is not the best. Really busy street

We stayed at CityGate Hotel for 5 nights when we first arrived in Hanoi. Overall, the hotel was fine and in a great location. However, it’s right beside an active party hostel, so expect some noise in the evenings. The photos online were clearly taken quite a while ago—the hotel doesn’t look as polished in real life. We didn’t notice any unpleasant smells, but the exterior balcony doors didn’t lock properly. It looked like older balcony doors had been damaged and not replaced, with new ones installed just inside. If both sets of doors had been secure, it would’ve helped with noise reduction from the street.
