Conifer Grand Hotel

The location is very convenient, even though it’s in an alley and the cab will not be able to leave you right in front. Room decor is nice, even though the bathroom “door” kind of ruins it. If anyone is in the hall doing anything, you will hear it. The bathroom “door” is a glass door with a leaf stencil of doubtful taste.. if you go there at night, turning the light on will bother your partner. No other kind of insulation.. so yeah just put a real door? Staff at the front desk seems pretty uninterested in helping you or even greeting you, but maybe is just an Ha Noi thing since a lot of people don’t do anything to hide the fact that you are not welcome there.

Location and room size is the best thing about this hotel. Walking distance to all things. Value for money. The entrance is down a back alley which makes it hard to find and cars cannot get in and out easily.

The pool which is located about 1.5km away is brillant, by far the best pool I saw and swam in on the trip and it wasn't heated, which when the wether is 35 degrees you don't want the pool heated!!! Communication in english was hard and the pool was so far away! Breakfast was lots of options but very noisy.

Near old town, near church Taxis can't drive to the hotel, which is no problem, except if you are seeing collected by an unpunctual driver, then you have to wait at the main road

Amazing location, right around the corner from St. Joseph cathedral, quite littl street however you can hear the church bells. Easy walking distance to the old quarter with all its restaurants, bars, shops, bia hoi places etc. good breakfast - both Vietnamese (pho!=) and western very friendly and helpful staff! some rooms in the lower floors are a bit dark

The room was lovely and had everything we needed. Also very clean. Perfect location , Close to everything. Staff were so incredible! After check out, they let us leave luggage at the lobby, and also let us use the bathroom for a shower at the end of the day (after check out also) which was amazing as we were going on a night sleeper bus. This is more to do with the location and the day we stayed - church bells were ringing all day on Sunday and unfortunately it could be heard. However I don't think there's any hotel in the old quarter that wouldn't have this issue. If you want the old quarter, it comes with the busy-ness and noise.

Spacious rooms, lovedddd the view of the dark church outside, staff were very accommodating, free umbrellas to use when it rains, gym was small with some weights but has aircon to keep it cool, they let us use the showers after checkout too, great location to walk around to everything. The church bells on Sunday start at 4:30AM till 10PM, and will ring every 1-2 hours because they have multiple mass sessions. They are super loud if you're a light sleeper!

It was fantastic! Such good value for money and an overall wonderful experience. 24/hr check in was also really helpful as we arrived at 1am and there were staff waiting for us. Nothing, it was great! Although laundry is very expensive there so make sure to check the price list!

Room was clean and a good size. Shower was good. Doorman was very friendly and helpful. Location is fantastic, right in the heart of things. Staff upgraded us to a larger room without us asking for it. We booked a room with a "patio" and "inside courtyard view" (see photo). We received a room with a window onto a brick wall that received absolutely no natural light. We were unable to tell if it was 4am, 9am or 12pm. It was constantly dark. The second photo is of the room at lunchtime. When we complained to the receptionist,we were told that we should not complain because we booked the cheapest room and had received an upgrade to a superior room. That is beside the point - we specifically wanted a room with an outdoor space, and were misled into booking this hotel. Another gripe is that soundproofing to the corridor is non existent - be prepared to hear every little conversation, door open or lift being summoned outside your room.

Clean rooms. Quiet street very close to everything. Very friendly staff.

The staff were amazing, kind and helpful. Beautifully decorated and clean room. Perfect location. We had a wonderful stay.

The room is big

Central location Cars/taxi are unable to reach the hotel. Water is splashing onto the floor when showering There is no towel rail to hang them There is no power outlet located near or on top of the fridge cabinet, but in the bathroom There is only one pillow for each There's a wall a meter away from the window.
