Hanoi Veris Boutique Hotel & Spa

Location itself is good, but to get to it, can be inconvenient (read below). Breakfast is not fantastic, but okay. And the staff is very nice and friendly. I stayed there twice, changed room once, so I need to say, that rooms are very different, you can get a great one with a terrace or one, that doesn't even have a window. Cannot remember exactly, until what time breakfast is offered, but I do remember, that it was not long enough (or maybe I just slept too long :) Hotel should be clear, where cab drivers should drop you off. Cabs/cars are not allowed to drive into the small lane, where the entrance for the hotel is. Without getting the closer drop-off location information most drivers drop you off on the farther lane end, so if you have heavy luggage, it's quite inconvenient to get to the hotel entrance, even if your luggage has wheels because of the uneven surface of the lane. And then there are stairs to get up to the hotel, so if nobody is at the reception (happened to me once), then you have to schlepp it up yourself.

Perfect location and excellent service! A quiet hidden in the crowded town area of Hanoi. The hotel interior is in boutique style and the room is really small but clean . Breakfast is also good . We stayed for only one night before leaving for Sapa and the manager tried to upgrade our room to a suite with balcony .The team also went extra mile to offer hospitality for our upcoming schedule by helping to keep our luggage after we checked out. Really appreciate the great service. Will recommend this to anyone who would love a home-coming experience in Hanoi :

Very friendly staff and helpful with booking a tour to Ninh Binh. Perfectly located close to attractions like walking street, cathedral,... The bathroom would need some improvement, the pictures of the rooms are showing a better room than the booked standard room.

Good location. The guy at the reception didn't even look at us, breakfast wes really poor. Also, in the shower, the water heater had some cables hanging really close to the running water which I think is dangerous.

The breakfast was very nice and tasty with many different options. The staff was very helpful, we got a really great recommendation of a local hot pot place. The room was clean. The room looked a bit bigger on the pictures.

The Hotel Manager and her staff provided excellent service to us during our staff - friendly, helpful and responsive. The Hotel is centrally located and is within walking distance to the key attractions and heritage sites. Breakfast is good with a variety of local, Asian and Western choices. Jenny arrange all our trips in the North of Vietnam. She took herself a lot of time talking us through all the details which included a fully organized trip to Halong Bay, Mai chau , ninh binh and a railway journey to Lao Cai, accommodation in Sa Pa, private taxi back Hanoi and ongoing flights further South. Everything worked out fine and if there were any issues on the way Jenny was always available to help and to support us. This was very re-assuring and we are very grateful for this kind of support . We Highly recommend Veris Hotel to anyone who travels to Hanoi city for leisure or business.

The hotel is very well located in the heart of all the main attractions, shops, bars and restaurants . The hotel oozes a cool vibe and it’s trendy and chick but just enough almost as if it was understated, which is even better and adds to its appeal. The rooms are spacious and the beds, pillows and linen of great quality. I travel quite a lot and I must say this was one of the best beds I have ever slept in. Breakfast is good with a good selection of choices ranging from continental to cooked breakfast. Now what truly made the difference : “The Staff” Everyone was absolutely great and made our stay memorable. My special mention will go to Jenny at the front desk who arranged for a wonderful surprise dinner for my wife’s belated birthday. making sure that all details were taken care of, including a surprise bday cake. she kept checking on us , making sure that everything was going according to plan during our stay, making suggestions and helping us with two night cruise in Ha Long Bay, backstreet tour of Hanoi and transfers and trekking in Sapa. They organised an excellent guide for us in Sapa along with a driver for the whole three days. It was essentially a private tour in a four wheel drive car. All the transfers worked seamlessly, including being shown to our train cabin. To everyone at Veris- a big thank you and hope to see you again on the future. Keep up the good work!

Nothing The conduct of the hotel and the receptionist. we have booked a room a head. We arrived after 7 hours drive to Hanoi at 00:30 (midnight). The receptionist took us out from the hotel and took us to a different hotel. He showed us a room. It wasn't the room we booked. It was a very dirty ,old and neglected room. there was muld on the walls, on the pillows !! and on the air conditioner. Their were stains on the sheets. the room was dirty. The sink had shaving hair in it. the shower was dirty with hair and plastic trash in it. the air conditioner was dripping massively and made the floor and the table full with water. And the worst thing is that there were fleas!! FLEAS!!! on the bed. we went back to the receptionist and told him that isn't the room we booked. On the pictures in booking there is a different room which looks new and clean . He raised his voice on us and told us that the room wich we reserved is full.... and this is an "upgrade". Moreover he told us that we can go and look for another hotel. (the time is 1:00 am). we came back to the room and thought what to do. it was very late and we just wanted to sleep and knew it will be hard to find another hotel so late. in this moment we saw the FLEAS. We took our stuff and walked away roaming the street of Hanoi in the middel of the night looking for a place to sleep. we added pictures to the review.

Everyone was so kind and hospitable. We were even picked up personally at the airport ( in the evening)! Very reasonably priced and easy access location. A definite recommended place to stay! Enjoy.

The price is quite low considering the average of the town and the position. The breakfast is quite good and the receptionists are very smart and nice We didn't have a good experience for the transfer from the airport organized by the hotel. The driver arrived late ,watched the mobile all the time while driving,and left not very near the hotel without even tell us where to go. Our room was not perfectly clean when we arrived.

The breakfast was really good. The receptionist (Jenny) was really helpful. I liked everything and there was not one thing I did not like.

We really enjoyed our stay and the location of the hotel is nice. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. You can choose between different options including eggs and pancakes as well as soup and they serve noodles or rice and fresh fruits. We also want to mention Jenny from the reception who was amazing. She booked a trip to Ha Long Bay for us and helped with every question we had. The temperatures during our stay in February were quite cold. The room we had did not have an air-con with heating function. When we asked, a heater was provided. That helped bit it was still pretty cold.
