The location is great. Close to the main roads but still easy access to the old quarter.

Historic hotel that had a lot of charm. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We even got our laundry done. Location was great. AC worked well. Room was on the smaller side. Hotel was close to a major intersection so could be noisy at times but the convenience was worth it to us.

Absolutley NOTHING Well, where should I start? They are liars, scammers, awful rooms and they require you to post a fake review in order to pay you back a refund that was agreed. So if you see any good review, just save yourself some money and go somewhere else. You will get there anyways. Do not trust any positive reviews, they are 99% fake. Room is messy, they are not cleaning properly, a lot of mold in the rooms and bathrooms. JUST STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!

Madelise Grand Hotel has very good service. Big thank you to Kai and the staff for helping us secure a very good room with a last minute booking. Highly recommend staying here if youre spendng time in the Old Quarter in Hanoi.

The staff try their best to make guests happy, although this is nearly impossible given the quality of the rooms. I felt bad for them every time we interacted, but one staff member helped us switch rooms when the first was unacceptable, and another tried to get their manager to agree to refund our unused nights when we fled. However, the staff cannot make up for the state of the place, and the management is disdainful and unresponsive so nothing can ultimately be solved. Genuinely horrible hotel, with serious problems with mold, bugs, and sound insulation. The rooms are so much shabbier than they look in the photos, and the first room the staff showed us to was directly on a main road with an unbelievable amount of street noise. I asked to switch rooms, and the second one was a little quieter from street noise but still had a lot of noise from the hallway and the elevator. Much worse, it had several different patches of clearly visible mold on the walls and ceiling in different places, and I saw a whole trail of bugs marching along the floor. The bathroom was gross and the bin for toilet paper had not been emptied between guests, a truly disgusting detail I've never encountered in any hotel before. Everywhere other than the lobby has a pervasive odd smell, and the moldy room smelled unmistakably of mold spores. This place is awful, and the management is so unresponsive that it borders on a scam. Our repeated attempts to leave early and get a refund took up a ton of our time that could have been spent enjoying our vacation, and ultimately the management refused to help much at all.

Cheap and next to our bus the next morning. View from top floor was nice. Sink was not sealed tight. Smelled like smoke and you can hear traffic and the elevator. Was not greeted when we entered the hotel and check out, lady was sleeping and had to wake her up to get checked out. Had to pay extra money because my sleeping rubbed on the white sheets during the night and left some red marks.

Mr William on reception could not do enough for us. Even before our arrival he was in touch via what’s app. The location was central with a fab cafe next door (Hidden cafe does the most fab egg coffee). V Close to HK bus line office if you’re headed elsewhere. We also appreciated the fact that when we asked to change rooms (due to it having no window and being quite musty), he immediately changed our room to an upgraded one In the more modern part of the hotel. The room we were first assigned to was pretty grim. It was dark, musty and had mould in the bathroom. A window that was unusable as close to a wall.
