Room was nice enough, great size, dining and lounge areas were good as was the private terrace. We did not have breakfast so cannot rate this. The location was excellent. The room was a bit tired and a few things (lights, bathroom door locks) did not work. The air conditioning was pathetic and less than useful.

I liked the location and the bar/restaurant is lovely For £350+ for a single night, we expected the room to be flawless — but it fell far short. The room was noticeably run down: cupboard doors hanging off their hinges, drawers that wouldn’t close properly, non-functioning air conditioning with exposed wires, and no bathroom amenities provided. When we raised this with a member of staff, she seemed unable to offer any meaningful help or advice. It was only after we sought out the manager ourselves that things improved — he was apologetic and offered a discount on the booking along with a complimentary drink. While we appreciated the gesture, it didn’t fully make up for the fact that the room simply didn’t reflect what we’d paid for.

Staff were excellent,location excellent main meals excellent and hotel had a good vibrancy about it Breakfast the first morning was excellent not so good the following mornings, bacon and black pudding looked as if it was cooked hours earlier and kept warm

Very comfy bed. High quality towels. Good amount of storge. We had some issues with hot water which were quickly fixed. Main issue is the bath is extremely high so taking a shower was pretty dangerous especially trying to step out when wet. These rooms should have some kind of accessibility warning as if we were older we wouldnt have been able to shower. The room was made up, but no new tea bags or milk provided so had to call down for it.

The position in Harrogate Not up to it’s normal excellent standard We were in the apartment Bathroom window - painted shut ! Bathroom lock not working Blind in one bedroom- would not go back up We specifically asked for the room to be cleaned- this did not happen We had to go and ask for this at 19.00 hours The restaurant was busy as it always is However - there did not appear to be enough waitresses We waited at least 45 minutes between each course People around us were complaining too

Close to town and friendly check in Sadly the shower screen over the bath had not got a seal strip which meant water leaked over the shower we made sure the we put towels down - sadly this is not the first time when we have stayed maintenance issues have occurred which is such a shame as it lets the hotel down !

There was no complimentary drinking water or even a fridge in the room. We had to keep buying bottled water throughout our stay, which became expensive and very inconvenient. For the price we paid, this was poor value for money and definitely not worth it.
