We were not aware that breakfast had to be reserved in advanced the night prior and so had no option for breakfast that morning. I wish we had been told at check in and if so, we would have opted in for breakfast. Also the hill up to the hotel is quick a serious one and was difficult with luggage and for my older parents.

Very clean and nice hot outdoor bath although I’m not sure if it’s an authentic onsen. The water pressure in the bathroom sink was very low and lukewarm. Also the vending machine ran out of beer. It’s a bit of a walk from any train station, about 15 min from Miyajima port

Nice room and onsen. No restaurant option. Would have been very nice if the rooftop had plants/garden and maybe food or drink ootions. The main road in front was very busy. Walk to ferry and train station along a very busy main road. When booking I read info to.suggest it was on Miyajima island but it is on the mainland with rooms on that side looking at island.

The baths The kitchen wasn’t open, despite the fact that Okonamiyaki was in their name & they charge so damn much.

Generally very good We though that the hotel was in Mirajima which is not clear at all so instead o staying on the island we stayed on the mainland

Staff was friendly. Food was tasty and decent Japanese Sake came all you can drink with our dinner! From the description on Booking.com we had the impression the hotel was located on Miyajima itself but that was not the case. It's about 10 mins from the ferry on the other side. Also, maybe I just paid the "foreigner" rate on Booking.com but the hotel wasn't the best value. For just a little bit more per night, my wife, son, and I were able to stay at the top floor of the new Marriott in Osaka the night before. Granted the Marriott did not come with dinner but we did get an incredible room, breakfast, and lounge access at the Marriott (which had a decent buffet and cocktails). Checkout time was an egregious 10 AM, and the hotel was anal about not allowing us to keep our luggage there for a few hours while we went Miyajima in the morning (have never experienced anything like this before). Overall, I can not recommend this hotel at all.

great location to visit Itsukushima island nice bath free soft and alcohol drinks very close to railway and JR station, I like the sound of trains staff speaks english very little

The onsen was nice and the room was a good size. The location; there is a tram and a train track runs right outside the hotel so it can be loud with the level crossing gates/bells at all times of the day/night. Also the food wasn't great. Definitely not worth the price we paid.

the onsen and bedroom were nice. on booking, there are so many food pictures that we were sure to have a very nice dinner at this hotel but the restaurant could not host us! they could not either find another place so we (family of 6 with a baby) could have dinner nearby. they barely speak English, never mentioned we had to book to be able to have dinner, neither at the time of booking nor at check in whereas we asked if dinner was included. The price was so high, we thought it was half board! To us, this is simple false advertising. We asked a discount but nothing could be done, except “sumimasen”. the hotel is very close to the train so we could here them all evening and early morning. Worst hotel experience in 5 years in Japan.
