Best ocean view Japanese Tatami mat room Breakfast was very good. We regret we ate too many ch. I was charged extra 3000 yen at the checkout for whiskey. I contacted the hotel and they researched through. But I paid in cash and also my son paid in cash for whisky the night before. We are on the way to the next location and there’s nothing I can do about it. It was a great hotel but gave me a bad feeling now.

Big hotel, facing the canal. Our room (japanese room) was big. Parking in the premises. Dinner was OK, breakfast was good. Older hotel. Furniture and facilities show age. Bathroom in japanese room is very small. Location is in the industrial area, next to the road. You need a car if you want to go out.

I had a hard time booking the night boat tour. Unfortunately, I missed out on it. The room was a bit hot and we could not figure out the temperature in the room. However, our experience was overall very positive.

The view from our room was truly spectacular. Loved the after dinner boat cruise. The breakfasts and the dinners were quite good.

I see a lot of people complaining about the fact that the hotel is old school but that's exactly what attracted us here. It has a lot of personality, I wish more hotels would be like this. The staff is very friendly, always ready to help. The food is exceptional - breakfast is a mix of Japanese and western cuisines, very diversified, while dinner is a beautiful set menu usually focused on fresh fish. Amazing quality. The rooms are very clean, the private bathroom has all amenities you could wish for. The hotel is within walkable distance to the ferry station to Miyajima island and local train. Overall very satisfied with the experience, we hope we'll be back. In absence of anything else - I would have liked the breakfast to be until a bit later.

The breakfast and view of Miyajima island were amazing. Especially enjoyed the onsen , great after a long days hike.

Convenient location, great value, beautiful common areas, spacious room. Hotel provides shuttle bus to a train station close to the Miyajima ferry, and the line to Hiroshima station. Room could benefit from a refresh, food was good for the price, but not gourmet quality.

We enjoyed the location on the water and the private onsen. We also enjoyed the boat trip. We were not crazy about the included Japanese dinner because we are not Japanese and not used to Japanese food. We were happy that at least one night we could eat in the Italian restaurant.

Nice hotel, spacious room, friendly staff, beautiful view; shuttle to and from Miyagimaguchi station I would NOT pay for dinner again; it is a nice set meal for those who like Japanese cuisine and raw fish; unfortunately we don’t; night cruise from hotel is nice, however, it is paid and not included.

The check-in experience was excellent, with very professional and efficient staff. The hotel itself was impressive, and the shuttle bus service was very convenient. The room was spacious, exceptionally clean, and featured a great balcony view, it was the largest room I had during my stay. Both breakfast and dinner were outstanding, offering high-quality traditional Japanese cuisine. There were no negatives to note.

The dinner experience is perfect! None. Everything is great!

Amazing dinners included, multiple course Japanese meal. Breakfast is also in included and delicious. Staff is as good as it gets and the shuttle is a real bonus- note that it does come to the train station and May align with your arrival. We walked from the train, it took about 20 minutes. We had a perfect view of the Torii gate from our room- spectacular. Disappointed that the bathing area did not allow men to experience the outside pools except for very early in the morning.

The hotel was a good find after we discovered that rooms on the island were scarce. Our room at this large hotel overlooked the island with a beautiful view. The shuttle service to and from the train and ferry was good. Our two dinners were quite good. The breakfast buffet was okay, but it would be good to have more fresh fruit. Our room was large and comfortable and we enjoyed having a balcony. Unlike our very good Japanese and Italian dinners, breakfast was more like a conference hotel offering...quantity but not quality.

One of the onsen baths was a bit small. But the other one was ok. But since they take turns between men and women's areas we could try both. The futon was a bit thin. It was ok but a little hard to sleep on

This facility is beautiful and at a great location. The staff were fantastic, and I loved the public bath! We loved the night cruise to the Tori Gate. I do not eat fish or seafood so the reception area made sure I had a vegetarian meal for dinner. The meal was an exceptionally good. And the buffet breakfast had a lot of options. Chen was great. Booked us a taxi and made sure where it should go for our dinner cruise. He spoke great English. Our first night there there were 400 teenagers running around with no chaperone. I was tired and wanted to relax.
