I booked the cheapest room & really liked it for the three nights I stayed here. My bed was comfortable and I had a good A/C and felt secure in it. Also, my bathroom had a shower enclosed so the bathroom wouldn’t get soaked so I really liked that. They also have laundry service which is very helpful for long term travels like myself. One staff member was always friendly and super helpful & she was a bright spot to the hotel as well. She usually worked the afternoon shifts from 2/3 to 10/11. She was a great representative of the hotel. My neighbors were a little noisy so I always heard them.

Good Value Hotel in a great location The higher floors have a better view

Quiet and clean in a good location. Check in after 11:00pm was very helpful. The room booked was not available when we arrived. We were "upgraded" to a room that had a strong unpleasant cigarettes smell. We requested another room and were offered a room with a window facing a concrete wall about 20 centimeters from the window frame - but the room was clean with no bad smells and we were happy with that.

To be honest, I was initially skeptical about booking this hotel because of the very low price and a few negative reviews. However, I ended up pleasantly surprised by my stay. The room was small, but that wasn't an issue for me since I was only using it to sleep. Despite the budget price, the hotel provided a decent range of amenities including bottled water, shampoo, body wash, a basic amenity kit (toothbrush, comb, shower cap), slippers, and even a bathrobe. The air conditioning and fan both worked well, which made the room comfortable. One downside was the lack of hot water in the shower, and the water pressure was quite low. This was something I hadn’t noticed before booking. That said, given the price I paid, it really wasn't a dealbreaker. The location is also a big plus—it’s right on the main road with restaurants nearby, and a pharmacy and 7-Eleven just a 5-minute walk away. Overall, for the price, this hotel exceeded my expectations. It’s a solid choice if you’re looking for budget-friendly accommodation and don’t mind a few basic limitations. The corridor was noisy, I think that was the housekeeping so if you tend to stay in bed after 7 am be ready to be awaken by the noise. Earplugs will help,

only the location staff was not helpful at all . rooms were really small.acs not working . on complaining maintanence came next day. they ask for a caution deposit when you check in even though you have paid the rent. There is kettle in the room but no tea or coffee. None of us were happy at the hotel. when ever we ask for directions etc they say they do not know.There is not even a proper step to enter the hotel . so actually senior people find it difficult with out help

Hotel & Room are very different frkm website feature. My room: 701, the air-con wasn't cold. I told the receptionist, she offered an alternative room...air-con was basically the same. When I said I want leave, She said that because I booked the stay with Agoda, I cannot cancel. She sent a security guard to attend to the air-con(just imagine that). Guard returned to say that I left the window opened....How Silly for him to BS, when I have not stayed. I had to endure 3nites of "Warm Hospitality" at Lucky Star Hotel. Never would I ever return to this :Warm Hospitality!"

If you are looking for a decent room in District 1 HCMC, this is the place to be. The staff were nice. Our room was clean and location was very central and close to everything. No room service. The noodles and peanuts are not complimentary.

The room stank of mold and damp so badly it made us feel sick. The smell was everywhere — in the air, in the sheets, even in our clothes after one night. It was genuinely unbearable. The photos online are a complete lie — the place looks nothing like what’s advertised. We booked last minute and paid for 4 nights, but the second we saw the room, we knew we couldn’t stay. Within an hour of checking in, we asked for a refund for the remaining 3 nights. They refused, giving some absolute nonsense excuses about how we booked a room “with no window” — even though the room had a window. Then they blamed Booking.com and took zero responsibility. They clearly don’t care about guest experience, comfort, or even basic hygiene. The whole thing felt like a scam. Zero concern for guest health or comfort as my partner was asthma and could not stay here with the mold. Lost out on £60 and whilst travelling every penny counts so really gutted!

Great for a short stay in Ho Chi Minh! Really good location walking distance to all the shops, restaurants and centre. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is a little run down but we still felt comfortable. We made sure to book a double room with window and it was a good spacious size and pretty clean. Would recommend :)
