I really liked the beautiful lobby, the delicious breakfast at Opera restaurant, and the attentive, polite staff who try to remember their guests. At dinner, the waitress even remembered my breakfast order, which was a very thoughtful touch. The staff were friendly and pleasant without being intrusive. The pool and the gym are also great for spending time and relaxing, and there were several sunscreen creams available by the pool. In the evening, I also enjoyed the live piano music and the singer — it created a lovely atmosphere. The bar had a great atmosphere — it felt relaxed, fun, and easy to enjoy. In my view, this is one of the hotel’s standout features. I would have appreciated a more proactive and solution-oriented concierge service. For example, we urgently needed to find a carry-on bag, and no one suggested the simple option of ordering one via Grab. It would also be great to have mouthwash provided in the room. Regarding the restaurants, I felt the food could be more refined, and the overall price-to-quality ratio could be better.

Everything was superb. The staff at the pool area was the best I have experienced at any pool so far, removing towels, stripping loungers etc, absolutely amazing!

The staff was the best in the world. I left some things in the dressers on accident, and they organized them neatly when I returned a few days later to collect them from lost and found.

From the response time and service level of the staff, room quality, to the overall hotel facilities and ambience, to the food quality, to live jazz performance in lobby... everything was perfect. The breakfast buffet and food quality of the hotel was excellent. All was good. It just gets a bit busy when there's a large event (or wedding) going on at hotel, which is expected.

This was an impressive 5 star property one of the top 3 in the world that i have ever enjoyed. Along with Wakatobi Dive Resort in Indonesia and the Sofitel Legend Old Cataract Hotel in Egypt. There is a certain “je ne sais pas quoi” that you experience at properties like these and you know it right away when you interact with the staff. They are happy to provide services to you and it shows?. What a pleasure to have this type of experience. Also the facilities and food and drink are top shelf. No pretense here.

The hotel is a real grande dame with great facilities and excellent service. Unfortunately my wife and son contracted e coli during our stay which may or may not have been contracted in the hotel. It did appear that the only thing that my wife and son ate which the other 3 members of our party did not was eggs royale in the hotel breakfast restaurant It would have been better if my wife and younger son had not contracted e coli whist staying at the hotel. To be honest the hotel did not help much and certainly did not make any offer of compensation which was disappointing (actually they did let us check out 2 hours late)
