The Alley Saigon Hotel

Switched me to a hotel nearby without working a/c. Switched me back to original hotel, put me on unremodeled 3rd floor, stained walls, paint chipping off, unclean. Said they were remodeling and hadn't got to that floor yet. Definitely not worth 19$/night for the BS. Maybe the newer lower stories are ok. I wouldn't go there again Room was in horrible condition, dated stained walls cracked

Bed sheets had stains on them and the shower was either steaming hot or cold no in between

cozy room and a great location in the heart of Bui Vien Walking Street. The real highlight was the amazing Xia who was beyond helpful during the stay.

I was staying a longer period so it woulda been nice to get a room with a window. Also for older ppl the stairs are not pleasant up to the rooms. But it's just minor things

The staff stole our iphone holder and did not addimit it's stolen behaviour. The staff's discription is totally different with the real situation

close enough location to city center, staff was accommodating no running water so it was very inconvenient, leftover food in the fridge

Very friendly and cheerful staff. Helped us to move our bags. Our room was in 3rd floor and there was no lift. It was a bit inconvenient. We wished there was a bit more space in the room. There were some unnecessary furniture that could be removed. And there was no proper plug point to charge the phone.

The hotel is a couple minutes walk from the famous Ho Chi Minh Beer Street which was a lot of fun for us to explore. There were also lots of restaurants and shops nearby and the location was pretty central in district 1. The receptionists tried very hard to be nice and attentive. Our room was located on the 3rd floor, so we had to climb over 60 stairs to reach it (no elevator). The doors/walls were also very thin, so you could hear other guests clomping up and down the stairs at all hours of the night. There is no turn over service, so we never had anyone come clean the room for the entire 5 nights we were there. I had to ask 3 times for more toilet paper, and was eventually given it after calling the WhatsApp number. The breakfast also ends very early, so I wouldn't count on that. The best part about this hotel is the location, but it would probably be worth it get a nicer place and just take a taxi to beer street.

Highly recommended. The hotel is in a very convenient location, closed to many street foods, marts and Bui Viên street. Big thanks to Vincent, the host, he’s very friendly and helpful with every you need. Would come back again when I’m in Saigon There is leakage in the bathroom, and water dripping from the ceiling.

The location of this hotel is prime for young travelers hoping to visit Bar Street and party. It's right in the heart of Saigon and walkable to many party spots, as well as a short drive to most of the big tourist spots. The bed was pretty comfortable and the staff were nice. We were on the 3rd floor and had to climb almost 60 steps to get to our room. It was intensely loud in the hallway/staircase whenever guests would come up late to their rooms (every night), so we were woken up at least once a night. You have to request the front desk to send the cleaning crew into your room, so we were there for 5 nights and only got a change of towels once (they didn't even make the bed or clean the room). I had to ask 3 separate times for more toilet paper. Overall, it was fine for the price and location, but definetly not a nice place.
