Trang An Elegant Homestay

The owner speaks a little English. Nothing really... but if i had to puck id saythe bedroom walls are thin, so you do hear other guests.

The room is enormous, super clean, cozy, close to Trang An Boat Ride. The homestay is run by a father and daughter team. It may be a language barrier and cultural difference that I felt the father wasn't very welcoming. However, the daughter, Dao, was warm and friendly. Great value for money! It's a bit far from Tam Coc. But I rented a motor bike so everything was okay. I thought the father was a bit dismissive, but that may well be just me.

The pool was clean The breakfast was tasty and had two options (eggs and bread or pancakes) Booking.com shows bicycles as not having an additional charge, but you need to pay. The bikes aren't in the best condition. There is nothing wrong with the location. You can walk to restaurants and take a longer walk to the boat tour It is also easy to hop on quiet bike trails. However, there are more tranquil, scenic homestays on the river/closer to the karsts.

Lovely backdrop scenery, nice pool which we upgraded to room next to, staff helpful and pleasant, allowed early check in from night bus at extra charge, booked transport for us also on leaving, breakfast good, quiet area although a loud speaker is right outside and at 6am has loud locals announcements which we do respect but nothing mentioned anywhere regarding this even in reviews, so don't expect to be able to sleep later than 6am - we stayed 3nights, on our 2nd morning the homedtaybhad loud building works outside reception before 7am which disturbed all guests with pneumatic drills all morning - no one notified of this, no notices about it etc until several guests complained - nice place to stay & listening to the insects, loud frog chorus and watching fireflies is fabulous in the evenings - just don't expect to have much rest or sound sleep - staff member Dao was lovely & so helpful ? Extremely Loud speaker outside homestay at 6am, the pneumatic drilling which disturbed everyone - no notification at all, the usual hard beds which are common in Vietnam, someone's used toothbrush found under fridge & use extremely strong mozzie repellent!

location was phenomenal, room was spacious and check-in easy. when we arrived the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned, floor was dirty, muddy almost, and covered in hairs and the bath mat was disgusting, it had nail clippings coming stuck in it and was also dirty, for the price it’s not worth it. bed was hard as nails as well, i’ve stayed in cleaner, nicer places for way cheaper in vietnam,

Great location away from the crowds but close enough to reach everything by bicycle. Great pool and breakfast. Rooms are big, clean and with great bathrooms. Very good value!

The kindness of the owner was exceptional. She booked our transportation to Sapa for us. We appreciated the possibility of renting bikes for the day. The location of this homestay was perfect..

Ms Đào was a very friendly, sociable and helpful host. Checkin and checkout was quick and no frills. The room was spacious and clean and had all that we need. We rent motorbikes and was within 6-12m of riding with all major sightseeing spots like Trang An, Ancient Capital, Tam Coc, etc. The area surrounding the homestay was peaceful and homey. Very good price for the stay!

Everything ! If there was a word better than excellent, I would use that one for this property!

We got a room upgrade to a bigger room. The bathroom was big. The outdoor area was comfortable with a lot of shadow space and chairs for lounging. We could leave the luggage at the reception at the last day, while we went out in Trang An. The area is gorgeous! The breakfast was very small - not enough to fill an adult person. In the 4-5 nights we stayed the apartment wasn't cleaned once. The apartment you stay in have bad sound isolation. The shower was sometimes warm, sometimes cold.

The hostess Dao is an incredibly kind and friendly woman. Made me feel right at home

A beautiful and quiet place. The owner is super friendly and attentive to whatever we need. The room is spacious and the beds are super comfortable. We also had a delicious homemade breakfast. I would definitely stay here again!

The room was very spacious and the breakfast was really nice. The bathroom was pretty good size for Vietnam. We had everything organised for us such as bike or bicycle rental and didn’t have to worry. Maybe would have been nice to have an option for breakfast but we liked what we received. Laundry was a bit more expensive than other places in Vietnam

Son (the host) is very friendly. He helps us to ride a motorcycle and to clarify all of our questions about Ninh Binh. The room is big and they have services for laundry and motorcycle and bicycle rent. I missed a bedside light and table in the room.
