Trang An Homestay

We had an absolutely perfect stay at this beautiful homestay for two nights, this June. The property is tucked away in a peaceful, half-secluded area that offers stunning scenery and a truly relaxing atmosphere. Our room was spotlessly clean and incredibly comfortable throughout our stay. The host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, giving us fantastic local tips about the main attractions and helping us navigate the area smoothly. We also loved the food here—everything was delicious, freshly prepared, and very affordable. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in Trang An! The road leading to the accommodation, although only a 5 minutes drive, was unpaved and bumpy.

The family who run the place were exceptionally kind and welcoming. We enjoyed borrowing the free bikes to discover the surroundings and sitting on the deck taking in the peaceful view

Conveniently located in a truly gorgeous setting. The bungalows were clean and comfortable, and it was great to have breakfast included. It's only about 15min drive into town, and close to many attractions like Hang Mua and the Trang An boat rides. Our kids enjoyed the pool table and swimming in the pool. Also, there are cows! I was a little concerned that we might have to wait awhile to get taxis to come pick us up, with the location being more rural, but we never had to wait more than 3 minutes for a ride. The staff are friendly, kind, and helpful. The hostess had laundry done very quickly for some in our group, and also agreed to make takeaway breakfast for those with an early departure time. We also ate dinner here one evening, and the food was plentiful and delicious. Best spring rolls of our entire trip!

Lovely family oriented place and the owners are so friendly

This homestay was one of my absolute favourites. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming. I was a bit cold the first night, and they immediately brought me extra blankets. Every morning, she would make my coffee as I was waking up, which felt so thoughtful and personal. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere is peaceful, serene, and quiet—perfect if that’s what you’re looking for. It’s close to all the main attractions, about a 15–20 minute motorbike ride to Tam Coc. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique, peaceful, and welcoming homestay that’s also very affordable. Thank you both so much for your kind hospitality ? Only feedback is having phone holder on the motorbike and a bit warmer of blankets

Friendly couple owns the accommodation and they seemed very lovely. It was sweet that they offered us rain ponchos when it started raining and we were going out for dinner. Scooter rental was easy and was about 5 euro per day (they do not do half day prices, we only rented for half day on the first day and paid the price for the full day, but the cost is minimal). The property is beautiful and has nice views, especially from the dock near the main building. We stayed in the family room and it was spacious. The pool looked nice, but we didn't use it because the time we wanted to go, they were cleaning it with chemicals and said we should wait. We were asked to send 50% payment before arriving, which is a no-no from booking.com to my knowledge. We reached out to the owners and said we wouldn't be able to do this, and they said it would be fine to pay 100% at check out thankfully. The breakfast was a bit underwhelming. For example, I got the banh mi + egg, but it was really just the bahn mi bread and 2 fried eggs (completely cooked). In the picture of the item on the menu, it showed vegetables in the bahn mi. I tried to ask for runny eggs, but I think the translation didn't work and I ended up getting fully cooked eggs both days. The door to our room had a big gap underneath, letting in lots of critters and bugs. We woke up multiple times in the night to flying cockroaches in our faces :( I understand there will be bugs in nature, but we could see them coming in under the door, which can most likely be prevented. Please be mindful that the property is on a dirt road with potholes and kind of tricky to travel to/from. We used a scooter and it was fine, but it's recommended to go slow! Despite the comments above, I would definitely stay here again!

Amazing location and wonderful hosts. Surrounded by stunning natural beauty. The host is an amazing cook also and a great pool too. No negative- we extended our stay to a week to really immerse ourselves and explore the local area on foot and motorbikes

Great views from the property, very quiet, friendly and accommodating hosts.

Gorgeous little stand alone lodge amongst the mountains in a tranquil setting, overlooking the lake. I was really looked after, the staff always on hand for questions and recommendations. Nothing is too much. On my last day they sorted an early taxi for me and packed me off with a food box for breakfast. Really kind and helpful family. Food was great at the restaurant, thank goodness, as unless you hire a moped/ bike this is the only place to eat. I jumped on the pushbike in the day to explore - visiting the ancient city Hoa Lu, climbed Mua cave viewpoint, made my way to the Trang A riverboat and into tam coc for lunch. This place isn’t for you if you want a lively atmosphere day/night, but if you’re looking to be in the middle of peace and mountains, with the only the sound of frogs and birds around you, then you can’t get better than this. Be great to have some snacks/ice creams available to buy for late night cravings!
