The Staff mainly, because they were there not just to do their particular job, they were there to help and. If you treat them as equals and interact with them then the happier your stay will be, and the Staff at the Oriental were Brilliant, Thank You all. We not only came away with a great experience we came away with friendships, we will be back. There is nothing not to like in our stay, but enough everyone has their own opinion.

I needed to upgrade my room as the original one was very small. However the upgraded room was excellent. The breakfast buffet was good, the days when there was no buffet, only a la carte the options were a little limited. The pool was great, the staff very helpful. The original room allocated to me was very small and I needed to upgrade (at quite a cost) to have a room that was a more suitable size. My previous stay there (in 2017) the rook was excellent. So booking a Superior Garden View room does not seem to guarantee what I would regard as a superior room. But I am still giving the hotel an excellent rating foe the other reasons I mention.

A couple of things took the edge of the stay. There was a very noisy cockerel every morning and the air conditioning was too noisy to leave on at night, we were very hot. So sleeping wasn't so easy. But overall I would certainly recommend the hotel.

Great location, quick and cgeap grab to old city. Awesome markets just here with amazing fresh veges fresh croissants etc. Amazing pool and quiet except cwhen a wedding was on next door. But ok. .

The staff here were really lovely and made the stay very comfortable. The rooms are large, including big balcony, and cleaned to a high standard every day. Pool is great for cooling off and there is also a small air-conditioned gym that was always empty when I used it. Hotel is well positioned between the old town and beach, and both can be reached by bicycle within 10 minutes. The hotel has bicycles that are free to use. I liked everything! This hotel is about 2km away from the centre of the old town but it is easy to reach, and there are some nice restaurants around the hotel tll
