This hotel is beautifully situated in a quiet area away from crowded tourists. The pool is small.

The welcoming staff was great. The front desk staff were so helpful with booking tours for us. We loved the spa facilities. Breakfast selection was better than other hotels with we stayed in. I enjoyed our stay and can’t remember anything I didn’t like.

Staffs are very proactive and helpful. Quiet and peaceful vibe. Away from the crowd, but only 10 minutes riding a bicycle along the river to get to the town center.

The hotel is immaculate. Spotless clean, and very comfortable. The staff were all amazing....they remembered my name and ensured everything was going well at various times throughout my stay. The pool was a plus, as it's very hot and humid in Hoi An. The location, while a long walk from town, is made easier with free bikes or plentiful Grab cars. Breakfast was great. Plentiful, variety, and nice selection of local food. The coffee is superb! Everything was great.

Silk River Hoi An Retreat offers a resort experience while being just a short riverside walk away from the old town and all the shops and restaurants Hoi An is famous for. The staff at Silk River are exceptional hosts and are also very personable. The pool area is unique in that it is open air but surrounded by the 3 floor hotel on each side. This provides a private experience and shade from the sun. The poolside service was also a nice touch during our honeymoon. The rooms are most comfortable, with excellent AC, water pressure, and an easy to use TV with built in casting. Lastly, the breakfast spread is incredible with many Vietnamese and western options. I would certainly recommend this hotel to all my family and friends.

Everything, we really like this hotel, the gave us bikes everyday to go to the old town(10min from the hotel) we really enjoyed that.

This was probably the best value for money I've found in a hotel since Thailand 2001. Everything feels like a proper four-star--comfy robes, thoughtful decor, generous breakfast--but the price. Also, because the pool is in a courtyard and somewhat shielded by the sun, it was the coolest hotel pool I tried during my travels (still not cool, but refreshing). The location initially worried me, as it is about 1 mile from Hoi An old town, but honestly old town is a cross between a backpacker's party and a shopping mall, and I appreciated being able to put a bit of distance between it and me in the evening--and the bike ride home, along a quiet side street right on the water on a free bike provided by the hotel, was one of my favorite parts of the day. Staff were super-helpful with helping me organize trips and gracious when I got confused about who to pay (recommend the Cham Island snorkeling day trip). Any concern was addressed promptly. Breakfast had a ton of "eastern" and "western" options, including regular and Vietnamese coffee and a made-to-order egg bar. I also got upgraded to a room with a balcony and view of the river, which was delightful. Would highly recommend. Note (because they may not) that the bikes all do have lights and locks--and you may have to wiggle the lock to get it to close. There is construction happening next to the property, though it never bothered me. Larger vans may not be able to access the location.

Well located. Beautiful family rooms suitable for sharing with adult children. Pool is partly shaded and stays at a comfortable temperature to cool down, which was fantastic give it was 39 c when we were there. There are free loan bikes to ride and riding along the river was easy and only had a small amount of traffic, making it an easy way to get to the old town.

I love it that the location is in a quiet area, fronting the river and near little-known quaint cafes and tailoring stores. Staff were very helpful and friendly; breakfast is great, and they always have different varieties every day. Our room was spacious and had natural lighting, which is important to me. I wish their spa could accept credit card as well.

Amazing staff and beautiful hotel!

Very cute hotel. The staff was super nice and helpful. The facilities were kept very clean. The breakfast buffet was fantastic. The free bike rental was very useful and I used it every day to bike into Old Town and wander around. They'll also help you book tours and shows.

The staff, the cleanliness, the breakfast buffet with egg station.? And the great Value for money. Only that the narrow streets were hard to navigate, going and coming out. Still not a deal breaker as it is nicely located in front of the river, peacefully far from hustle and bustle at night

Before arriving, I kept my expectations low because hotel photos often look very different from reality. However, the hotel was exactly as shown in the photos on both the booking site and Google. The room was spacious for three people, nicely decorated, with comfortable beds, a green view from the balcony, and a large bathroom. The bathroom was actually one of my favorite parts of the room — with the windows open, I found myself spending more time there than necessary, just enjoying the sunlight, the greenery outside, and the birds singing. :) The breakfast was surprisingly extensive, even compared to many hotels I have stayed at before. There were plenty of options, including Vietnamese, local, and basic Western dishes. I particularly liked the bánh nậm. The staff were helpful, informative, and always willing to assist. I didn't get their names, but I would like to thank the two pretty receptionists who made our check-in and check-out process smooth and easy. The hotel is very close to Hoi An Memories Land and only a short bike ride from the Old Town. Our stay was too short.

I highly recommend this hotel. The wifi speed is 100 mbps when I checked by phone but it’s probably higher. It’s affordable and definitely ideal for digital nomads. The staff are very accommodating and helpful. We enjoyed our stay. It might be far from ancient town but you can easily booked Grab for about $2-$3. However, we decided to walk so that we can explore Hoi An better and it’s just 30 minutes away from Hoi An Old Town. And if you know how to ride bicycle, they have bicycles you can use. They also have tour packages that are much cheaper compared to those that you will book online. You should book the bamboo boat tour from them. I will definitely stay again in this hotel if I will be back in Hoi An.

To stay on the riverfront required a small compromise - I usually stay in the centre of town. As I found walking in the extreme heat/humidity draining, I used the taxi (grab) system. It is only a few minutes into town and costs about $1 - or if you are fit, the hotel has bicycles for free use. Lots of good local restaurants though. Walking distance to the main outdoor show. And it is lovely to walk along the river at night, or sit on my balcony early morning watching the fisherman and glistening river before my super yummy long holiday breakfast.
