Ala Moana Hotel by Mantra

Their partial ocean view is a sliver of a view of a harbor in the distance after your beautiful view of the top of a building and a raised parking lot . Check in took 40 minutes with 2 attendants glued to their computers screens and afraid to look toward the growing line of guests. Why can't they keep the breakfast restaurant open for lunch? Why can't you order off a menu, not simply a $35 breakfast buffet? Dinner restaurants and bars are nice but again ridiculously expensive for a not-on-the-beach hotel.

The elevators were a disaster. They came infrequently and were always full at one point there were 30 people in line to go upstairs. Trying to check out waited for 6 to come only to find they are all full. Gym is great. Check in slow

We stayed at the Ala Moana hotel/condo after hurricane Lala since the power was out for a few days and we had visitors staying with us. Although the hotel was also on back up generator power on/off, the stay overall was excellent. The hotel was updated and clean with all the amenities needed and the location was next to the shopping center. However, what made the stay memorable was the aloha spirit of the hotel staff. Everyone went out of their way to welcome us with a smile despite the weather and how hectic and busy it was. A section of the carpet in our room was wet from the hurricane and the hotel offered to move us but we were too tired. Special thank you to a few of the staff; Ruby of housekeeping, Kalani at the front desk, and Miller who dried the carpet. You really made our stay relaxing during a very stressful time. Thank you for taking care of us for a few days and treating us like family.

We loved this hotel because it was within our budget. The mall is right next door as well as the beach. The staff is very friendly and helpful. On the other hand the water pressure needs to be better. We did have an issue where we could not find parking in the hotel lot due to this event that was going on. The parking attendant then instructed us to find parking outside until the event was over.

Stay was great!

We found 2 needles in the room ?!! And the air con was has never been cleaned since a long time . We got sick from breathing dirt and dust and the staff is not that friendly and do not respect your Privacy

2-One flaw on the room. Bathroom Had hair in the tub and floor. There was also a used glass in the bathroom. 3-The Bell desk rep (Asian female with a mask) was also amazing taking my bag to the holding area, overall the property was great to stay, convenient for me to stay as I was able to walk to the Made in Hawaii event. Great place to stay away from the hustle & bustle of downtown Waikiki

We arrived a couple days early for our cruise. Check in was a breeze the staff at front desk were excellent. Unfortunately we arrived the day before Hurricane Lala showed her face. The hotel power went off then on for a bit and back off. The elevators were not working and they let us take the service elevator to go down from 26th floor. Breakfast was still being served and we were able to have breakfast in the dark but staff was great. We asked at the front desk if we could stay an extra night as the port was closed and we could not board as planned they were very accommodating considering the situation . The happy hour on the 35th floor was amazing. I would recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to Honalulu.

Very convenient location

The view of the city They provided 2 beds, I only needed one.

Had to speak to the hotel's shift manager to remove valet parked vehicle from blocking my car in the self park designated area. Time wasted, frustrated, irritated, and made me late to a time sensitive event. This after being a paying hotel guest as a local resident all week.

Room was clean, staff is very helpful and friendly. The view is nice. The location to a lot of our planned activities was a big plus, we could walk to it if we needed to.

Exceptional

Everything else was good, except for an issue with the microwave and some A/C noise coming from the neighboring room. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the convenient location.

First time we used Ala Moana Hotel. Hotel room was very clean refrigerator and microwave was clean able to use it without any problems. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel is located next to the mall which is convenient just walk across the bridge for dining and shopping. We will go back to the hotel again on next trip to Oahu.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room looked like it was tidy but after looking closer our bed sheets and pillows had makeup stains on them. Our hand towels looked used and the shower curtain smelled like mold.
