Huntington Surf Inn

Really great walkable location to downtown Huntington Beach that is much cheaper than other options. Really liked the feel of the hotel and the free parking is great. Rooms are all unique and being able to sit outside on the deck and watch the ocean and the PCH was awesome. Only complaint is that the blinds to our room were broken and would not go all the way down. Would definitely stay here again.

I do not recommend staying here. We were coming for a one night stay and driving in from the inland empire which as you know the 91 is ridiculous with traffic so we were getting there a hour and a half after checking which is at 3 by the way and we thought cool at least our room will be ready. We go to check in and they go on to tell us our room is not ready and would be 45 minutes!!!! We had a birthday thing to get to so then telling us sorry we had a busy weekend and nothing else and to say it so non carelessly as it’s not really that big of a deal is what blew my mind. Then we get into our room and the ac unit is extremely loud with all buttons basically wiped off so you have no clue what you’re doing. After we got back in the evening I proceed to get into the bed and the bed collapses! We had to lift the mattress up to find out the bed deal is being held up with a piece of wood! We could not sleep well after that on top of the ac being extremely loud which needed to be turned off since we couldn’t sleep and then for it to now be hot. The bathroom has no ventilation so it’s extremely hot as well as the shower doors not functioning on one side at all. This was not a good stay what so ever and then when telling them about the bed at check out, again no care what so ever she goes to say oh sorry, that’s it, nothing else. Like a bed collapsing is every day business. I highly recommend staying elsewhere especially because one night was not cheap for what you have to deal with.

Awesome place to stay near the beach

The staff was very nice and the inn is small and intimate. You are definitely paying for the location. Some things are a little outdated and the shower head kinda sucked but honestly, I would return again for the location and outside amenities alone. I love the area.

It wasn’t as clean as I would typically prefer, but overall was well kept. Very friendly staff and excellent location. A very short walk to the beach.

It was decent, especially for the location & the price but from the beginning, no one was even in the office to check us in. I had to call the emergency line to locate someone & then the person who finally came to the window looked like they just rolled out of bed & werent very friendly. The room is outdated & could’ve been a lot cleaner. They don’t even provide hand soap. The air conditioning unit kinda sucked so the room got warm often & given the fact that it’s right on the highway, it’s very loud at night so keep that in mind if you’re a light sleeper or have small kids. Wouldn’t recommend.

The room was relatively clean. There were some large stains on the carpet. Everything seemed a little dusty. You can hear all the cars and motorcycles, driving down PCH.So, it makes it a little hard to sleep at night.

Perfect little surf hideaway! Steps to the pier and main shopping areas as well as restaurants. Super safe location with kind, helpful staff.

Very dated property, no amenities, not even a vending machine to purchase water. Rooms are in desperate need of updating, blankets worn and dirty looking. The location and view is great.

The view of the beach was great from the deck and parking was provided under the hotel free of charge. Very close to coffee in the morning and many food options.

The beach view is unobstructed from the shared deck, which is very accommodating with tables and chairs. The parking was easy and safe and everything is walking distance..it’s perfect for that.

Positives: great water pressure, great location, clean sheets. Negatives: the bathroom door was off its top hinges so had to be slammed both open and closed, which was so loud. It was also a bit grimy, something I’m not used to in other 2-star stays (lamps caked in dust, doors were dirty, lots of rust everywhere, floors felt dirty. They left the e end of a toilet paper roll with no refills, but no staff onsite other than the daytime. In the end, we felt like we overpaid compared to other hotels nearby. Disappointed is an understatement.

Room was cute and worked for our night stay. Beautiful view of the beach from the deck. Patio furniture could use a good cleaning. Did not have a top sheet on either bed, which was strange. And the parking is very tight. It’s in a very walkable location.

Easy check in and parking. Great location and staff friendly. Would have like tea making facilities and a safe in the room.

Room was clean, stay was great! Only problem we had was the air conditioning did not seem to blow cold.

Our family was so happy with our stay at Huntington Surf Inn. I called going for an early check-in and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and air conditioning worked well. This small hotel is right across the street from the beach, maybe a five minute walk to the water and less than 10 minutes to walk to the pier, shops, and restaurants. We are already planning a summer trip and plan to stay at this hotel again.
