Hotel Bon Sol Resort & Spa
About Hotel Bon Sol Resort & Spa
This enchanting, family-run hotel overlooks the Bay of Palma, from its location among pine trees and tropical gardens. Descend through these gardens to the rock-lined pools and the secluded beach below. At the top of the Bon Sol you will find a Moorish tower offering amazing views across this picturesque bay in southern Majorca. From here, you can head down through the lush gardens, passing by the sun terraces, scenic swimming pools, spa facilities and down to the small, sandy beach on the Mediterranean Sea. Other great facilities include tennis courts and a winter conservatory. Inside, the Arabian-influenced decor, antique-style furniture and precious artwork combine to give the feel of a Medieval castle. This unique atmosphere is made more welcoming by the informal, family atmosphere.

Rooms are large and beds comfortable. Staff was extremely helpful and rooms were always cleaned in the morning. The breakfast was amazing. There is a car rental place next door if needed, which made things easy There was not much to dislike. Everyone that worked there was very nice.

Beach, food and people and staff. We loved Pablo and his music.

Bon Sol offers old world resort class with modern rooms and amenities. Some of the resort entertainment features have been neglected or minimized. Some, like the squash court are not well marked.

The property was old school and quirky. Built on a hill with multiple levels, they. Rested a medical place filled with gardens, staircases, artwork, nooks and crannies so that you wanted to prowl around and peek into every corner. Our room was large and welcoming, with a hugely comfortable bed, snowy linens and all the amenities we needed. The staff was kind, helpful and so lovely. Loved everything

The hotel is very beautiful, and well taken care of. The breakfast is first rate, truly a treat. The staff a very nice and helpful. There are three (or more) pools, lush vegetation, it is a beautiful property. Some constructive criticism or thoughts (and this might have been because it was September, and the place is on the more expensive side) the place was full of old people. A lot of old people. Could have been because school is in, and the place is too expensive for families? I’m not sure. And the place felt tight. “tight” in that you were always squeezing by people, the tables at the restaurant were close together, the deck chairs were right next together. And that leads me to the “marking of the deck chairs”. By 10:00, there were not free seats ANYWHERE. All of them had towels on them, but not many people on the chairs. There was a lot of shade, but almost too much. So, finding a place to sit in the sun (with a chair or lounge chair) was challenging. I was there with my family for three nights, and that is as long as I could have enjoyed it. It just felt like there were too many rooms and people, for the facilities that were available. It felt like I was always standing behind someone, or trying to get around someone. I never was able to find a lounge chair (in the sun) for three days. Like I said, it could have been just that weekend, but it was September, so it was not the high season. I wish the management would clear the chairs of towels, or enforce some type of rule so people could sit in the sun in a chair. It is like this in many places in the world, but here it seemed even worse. I saw plenty of chairs, marked with towels, that people never used. And always the best seating areas. In short, the size of the facilities did not match the number of rooms in the hotel.

This hotel is adorable. The private beach takes all of the credit. Staff is super friendly and it feels very luxurious and perfect to relax.

I travel a lot. By far, it was the best breakfast I’ve had in a long time at hotels. Very fresh fruit. Great selection of cheese and other local specialties. Room with great space. Location is great, easy to dine in Ciutadella. And the semi-private beach is awesome. They should implement some system to avoid a “race” of people reserving the best seats at the beach at early hours. Also, there are many stairs, so I would recommend for anyone with mobility difficulties.

The outside cove is cute but this place is not nice in person. It is decorated like a medieval dungeon and the area isn’

Difficult to get lounge chairs at the pool. Better bartenders/service at pool bar.

Stayed here with my adult daughter and we absolutely loved the charm of this hotel. The staff are lovely and friendly and give personal attention to your stay - the overall layout of the hotel is both interesting and unique. The food was delicious and excellent value for money. This is a special gem and if we ever returned to the island we would definitely stay here again.

The hotel grounds were beautiful. The private beach was my favorite part. Also breakfast was great. There was an ant infestation. Dinner at the water front restaurant was not worth it for the price.

The huge pool and large rooms The laberynth walks to get everywhere

Location near palma Underwhelming The pools are very busy and it was difficult to find sun-bed The room not well maintained, the bathroom door didn’t close The phone wasn’t working which is a nightmare considering you had to take 2 elevators and cross the street to get to reception Some staff where extremely rude while others were excellent Not worth the price at all Only population i would recommend this place to are families with adolescent children

I can't wait to return to this fabulous resort. Everything about it was exceptional.

This place had everything. The suite with ocean view was awesome - highly recommend it both for the view and for the ample space in the room. There are many other amenities as well but we spent most of our time on the beach. The beach area with lounge chairs is awesome, just be sure to get there early so you can grab a spot. We only did B&B - the breakfast was pretty good but not amazing. Not sure about lunch/dinner. Helpful and friendly staff

It was in a beautiful setting on the sea. The staff took excellent care of and were extremely friendly. The views from the room were excellent. The smells were strong, like covering up something. And the rooms were a bit worn. The hotel fits in the middle of many large hotels so there is a bit of claustrophobic feeling after awhile.
