The Vasilicos

All of the hotel staff were amazing. Breakfast every morning on our own private terrace facing the caldera was breathtaking and amazing.

Amazing views of the Caldera. We stayed in Daphne suite which is very roomy for three. The patio and semi private pool were wonderful. We very much enjoyed breakfast on the patio each morning and a private dinner with excellent seafood. The staff gets an A++. Krystos and Manos were very professional, friendly, and made sure that all of our needs were met.

Beautiful. I think it’s the best property on the island.

From the first “hello,” we were treated like honored guests. Perched above the caldera, the rooms offered spectacular views of both Imerovigli and Fira, with an elegant, serene aesthetic. A delicious breakfast was delivered to our room each morning; we were truly pampered. Everything rated a 10+, but the warm, attentive service, along with wonderful recommendations and genuine hospitality, made our stay truly exceptional.10++

The view was superb, the staff extremely accommodating, and the food impeccable. The rooms were clean, quiet, and beautiful. It's at a great location, not too far to drive to Oia or Akrotiri, and walkable to Fira. Hands down the best place I've stayed at in my life. I will never forget my time here. Nothing. Everything was wonderful.

Secluded and quiet but within easy walking distance of Fira. Unlike other nearby hotels, the grounds were totally private. We appreciated the warm welcome and excellent service and enjoyed tasty breakfasts and dinners served on the patio of our room. The bed was very comfortable. Great view of the sunset each night was icing on the cake! A minor issue but the room could benefit from some updates to the shower plumbing.

The views. Stunning. The people (staff) extraordinary. Not a thing.

I loved how private this property is despite being a short walk to town. Felt truly secluded and so romantic with so many nice touches throughout. The plunge pools were fantastic and it's the best spot to catch a sunset. The staff at the property are a true class act who go above and beyond to make your stay wonderful. The candle lit dinner served private on our terrace was so lovely and some of the best food we had on the trip. We loved every second. Nothing.

Really great location separate from the hustle and bustle of Oia and Fira, but still close enough to Fira. Dimitris and co were incredibly welcoming and helped us book experiences and gave us good dining suggestions. Beautiful view, and our room (Efta) was right along the edge, a little scary but breathtaking. Breakfast was filling and delicious. Not a fault of the property, but reminder that TP can’t be flushed on the island due to the sewage infrastructure.

The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming! Our view was spectacular and could not be beat! Highly recommend this hotel!

Amazing boutique hotel, with extremely well maintained. Views are better than the photos show. Dimitris will take care of you and organise anything you need, Chris also was always there for anything we needed for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

We had the absolute best experience here. Every single staff member is so friendly and attentive! The food was fantastic - the breakfast was healthy, with special treats that varied each morning. The Aegean meze was one of the best meals we had on our entire two week trip. The room was beautiful and comfortable, with one of the best views on the island. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here! Nothing, it was perfect!

Fantastic views from the hillside overlooking the port. Walking distance to town. Friendly and supportive staff. Not at all significant, but the rooms are literally caves dug into rock. No windows, only the light from doorway enters the room. Wish there were more options for access to the island. A ferry strike stranded us for one day in Paris. As a result we had to pay an extra night there plus the scheduled night at the Vasilicos. No fault of the hotel, who required full payment in advance, but disappointing that we were charged full price for a missed night due to a strike.

Outside of the crowded and noisy places which is perfect to relax and enjoy the view on the Caldera. Easy walks to Fira and Imerovigli villages. Very friendly staff which is always here to help and serve us. Very good breakfast which they make depending on your diet. I had a very good stay.
