Basic Hotel Innsbruck

Unlike many hotels that have a breakfast buffet, the breakfast here is quite small and minimal. It is however cheaper than breakfast at other hotels but in my opinion not great value. If you want something substantial, plan to get breakfast somewhere else. There are many great places close by though, so not a big deal.

Room felt clean and cozy. Staff imposed a €50 fee for my guest. I made an honest mistake and booked for 1 adult stay by accident. When we both went to check out, they imposed a €50 fee for my partner. I wasn't happy about the fee but I paid and left a google review about it. The owner reached out asking to have the review taken down but refused to offer a refund. I asked quite bluntly how the extra person affects real cost for the hotel to justify the €50 fee but he leaned on booking.com policy and an analogy about airline tickets that makes no sense when applying to hotel occupancy. This interaction with the owner was not pleasant. I would not recommend this hotel.

Sad They cheated my money by offering the wrong type of rooms and basically told me it’s not their business. We could not sleep in the same bed as that was not what we booked. So we ended up spending more money to get an apartment for two nights.

Great location! It was breakfast included, but there was no hot food options, such as eggs.

The location was fantastic. Staff - especially the guy we had at check in - was super helpful and friendly. Parking lot was small but happy they had one so close to the hotel.

The room was very spacious and comfortable, with everything you need. I wouldn't call it "basic," as it has a safe, hairdryer, desk, and, in my case, a nice, comfortable balcony. In addition, the stay included a visitor card for Innsbruck with unlimited public transportation and exclusive access to certain attractions with the card. In addition, there is a daily cleaning service! The lady from the reception was super nice as well!

This was a reasonabley priced place to stay within walking distance of the funicular to go hike in the mountians! Since we are a family, the glass walls to the bathroom were okay but if you were traveling with co workers, that could be wierd.

Staff was friendly especially the gentleman at the front when we checked in. Room was clean and spacious enough for 4 people. Breakfast was good. The paid parking behind the building was easy. Location is the best with less than 10 min walk to the golden roof. Recommended. Nothing

They waited for me despite my very late check-in! And they do have a self-check-in option in case you come in really late. Location is very central - very near the city centre (although a bit of a distance from the train station, but still works! very walkable if no heavy luggage). Perhaps the open-concept shower? As it leaves the toilet floor wet, predisposing those with mobility issues to slips and falls. Nonetheless, not that big of a deal, really. Hotel was a really good place to stay!

“Basic” doesn’t do it justice, I would rather say it’s minimalist but in a good way. One has all the necessary amenities for a cozy stay. Nicely and simply decorated, with a spacious balcony and easy to access bike parking facilities it was the perfect stay for my trip to Innsbruck.
