Hotel Tautermann

The staff provided exceptional service, and the breakfast was delightful. We experienced an unfortunate incident on the train where our clothes became soiled with juice, and the local laundry facilities were quite unsanitary. However, the establishment kindly laundered our garments overnight for a modest charge, which was incredibly helpful. It was a truly pleasant experience. The room was cozy and felt like a tiny flat. We had a sitting area looking out the window and a mini-fridge. One thing only: the show was difficult. Controlling the temperature was frustrating.

- The location is very central. - The hotel is on a slight incline, so walking back up to hotel after tours etc. can be challenging for some. - The breakfast area was nice and warm. They had everything you'd find at a typical hotel breakfast. They continuously refilled the food before it ran out. - They can also store luggage before check-in or after check-out for a couple of hours, but you need to talk to the stuff because there are no lockers. - We stayed on the top floor, which was perfect. The room was really clean. - The mattress quality was really good. !! Tipp: Exceptional views of the Alps and Innsbruck if you book upper floors. Also, i want to thank again to Hotel Tautermann stuff for the room upgrade :)) The room was cold when we entered our room at night. The heater was off when we checked into the room, which we didn't know, and it took us a while to warm it up when we entered again in the evening. A brief explanation about this could have been given before we checked in.

Very good location, easy walking to old town, restaurants & shopping. Staff very friendly. Room very clean. Breakfast had a wide variety of food & beverage options. Parking options were communicated well in advance & that worked out very well for us. Room was clean, but triple room was a little small for 3 adults & luggage.

Everything was ok-ish, but nothing stood out. Not physical check-in. Not having a person you can talk to or ask for informations disumanize the process and hotel. Odd and old room management. The toilet right on the left of the door, then the wardrobe in the hallway and the bathroom with the shower on the right of the bed (room 104). Not vegan/vegetarian-friendly breakfast. Usual options such as bread and cheese or marmelades, eggs, a cake (1), yoghurt and müesli, but nothing stood out. Overall too pricey for the services.

The breakfast is very good and complete, the location is great, we walked everywhere every day, we didn't use public transportation to get to the main attractions in the city. The only thing I didn't like was the pillows; they are too soft and uncomfortable.

The hotel is relatively easy to find and is located around 15 minutes from the train station by public transport. Despite our late arrival, close to midnight, the check-in process went smoothly, as the room key was available at reception and a staff member was present on-site. We also appreciated the possibility to store our luggage after check-out and collect it later the same day, which was convenient. However, the overall comfort and value for money did not fully meet expectations. The hotel is situated on a hill and does not have an elevator, which may be inconvenient for guests with luggage. The furniture is outdated, and considering the room condition and facilities, the price feels rather high. The bed was quite firm, heating could be improved, and noise was an issue—sounds from the shower, people passing by the room door, and shutter noise during the night and early morning were clearly noticeable. The bathroom setup is functional but not ideal. While it was positive to have two sinks (one in the bedroom and one in the bathroom), the sliding bathroom door is difficult to operate, and privacy could be improved due to the window arrangement. The amount of toiletries provided was minimal, towels felt old and were not changed during the stay despite daily room cleaning. There is no in-room safe, no iron or ironing board, and only one power outlet available on one side of the bed. Breakfast was another weak point. The selection was very basic, with limited seating capacity, which led to guests waiting for a free table and, in some cases, not being able to sit at all. Food refills were rare, and tables were not cleaned promptly, as only one staff member seemed responsible for the entire breakfast area. On the positive side, hot water was available immediately, making the shower usable, and the room was cleaned daily. A TV was available in the room, although it was not tested. Overall, while the hotel offers some practical advantages in terms of accessibility, late arrival handling, and luggage storage, several aspects related to comfort, facilities, noise, and breakfast service need improvement to better justify the price charged.

The hotel was close to downtown and the Christmas markets. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The facilities are well kept. Nice breakfast.

The hotel is only a short 10-minute walk from the river, where you can capture the beauty of the colorful houses. The staff truly go above and beyond to make your stay special; they were incredibly friendly and attentive. They ensured I received the mountain view room I had requested, which was so thoughtful of them. When the hot chocolate machine wasn’t working properly, they kindly offered me a delicious cake to enjoy instead. One of the staff members even took the time to share tips on how to make the most of my stay, which I really appreciated. While the hotel has a bit of a vintage charm, it is impeccably clean and well-maintained. The breakfast was outstanding—delicious and healthy— and I was fortunate enough to be the first to experience the wonderful array of spreads available.??

Room was perfect, and everything was within walking distance. Breakfast in the morning was good and the room was clean and comfortable. I was able to find parking next to the location and honestly, this was a great stay. Really didn't have any issues. I wish the shower has non-slip pads as I almost fell getting in the shower but thankfully, I was holding on to something. This is not a big issue, I just wasn't paying attention.
