Hotel Secreto

The location is amazing. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of all the restaurants and shops, yet only a five minute walk away. Very quiet and private. The staff is always available to make the stay as comfortable as possible. Very friendly and knowledgeable. The property is exceptionally clean and well maintained. We will definitely return in the future! It is really hard to find anything that was not perfect, but I think the only suggestions I have is that it would be nice to have a regular bar fridge in the room and not the very small mini fridge. The pool is also a little on the frigid side and takes getting used to!

Beautiful hotel with rooms overlooking the pool and ocean. Tucked away from the bust streets but close enough that everything is in walking distance to local restaurants. Beautiful rooftop bar with live music. The staff organized a golf cart for us to use to see the south end.

The location, the quiet away from the downtown activity, the spacious rooms. The staff were so attentive and friendly. The rooftop was also beautiful! Our room had a smell that I didn’t like (I have allergies). I assume it is a strong cleaner or air freshener.

there was no breakfast available. I generally search for a unit that has a kitchenette, Hotel Secreto had none. Still, it was a remarkable, comforting stay.

Ocean front room has a great barony, nice small gulf view and the wind didn't blow into. You can enjoy a beautiful sunrise from the beach in front of the hotel. All the front desk staff are very friendly It was little bit sad that the road in front of entrance was under construct and there is a ruin on right side of ocean view

The views were incredible. On a quiet street, but close to the north beach, shops and restaurants. Fabulous pool and rooftop bar. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Nothing! We loved it and wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again in the future.

Rooms are really comfortable, amazing views over the pool and out to the ocean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The pool area is an amazing place to relax and cool off. Nothing negative to say, we loved it!

very nice hidden hotel. quiet and super week located in the same time. the hotel lobby is extremely nice and Claudia was absolutely amazing for the check in check out and for the drinks too. i hated that the property charge you in USD when we are in Mexico. if you want to pay in local currency (pesos), they charge you a rate for it which is inaceptable ! It is absolutely unbelievable to be charged that way and for this reason I’m unfortunately not going back to this hotel. WE ARE IN MEXICO ! Not in USA ! Time to follow the rules… It’s absolutely against the law to do this !

The location is fantastic! Close to the main strip and the main beach. Very quiet at night too. The massage was excellent and golf car hire - definitely recommend! Staff were all lovey and very helpful.

First, the customer service was subpar. The staff seemed indifferent and unhelpful, making us feel unwelcome from the start. Simple requests were met with sighs and delays, which really put a damper on our vacation. The room itself was not up to the standards I expected. It was poorly maintained, with outdated furnishings and a musty smell that lingered throughout our stay. The air conditioning barely worked, making the room uncomfortable during the hot days and nights. Another major issue was the cleanliness. The bathroom was not properly cleaned, and we found hair in the shower and sink upon arrival. The linens also looked like they had not been changed from the previous guest, which was incredibly off-putting. The hotel’s location, while private, felt isolated, and there were limited dining options nearby. The "beachfront" is more of a rocky shoreline with little to no sand, so don't expect a typical beach experience here. For the price we paid, I expected a much higher level of service and quality. Sadly, Hotel Secreto did not deliver, and I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Isla Mujeres. There are much better options on the island that offer better value for your money.

The room was very open, clean and spacious. Amenities were very thoughtful, especially like the coffee set up. The front desk personnel was outstanding. Jesus made the best cocktails and his attentiveness was exceptional. The only thing would be some sort of onsite snacks or food. one minor point, when stipulating what is cash payment, please make clear that it will be paid at checkout. Since the cash was not asked for at each occurrence I thought was being charged to room. An ATM would be helpful.

The location was amazing an hidden away out the busy streets & staff super helpful. Lovely & clean and exactly what we needed The pool was a little cold to really enjoy and the gym needed a bit of TLC

Beautiful quiet location overlooking a small cove with a sandy beach. Short walk to shops and restaurants Staff all spoke English and were very attentive Hotel did not serve any food although they would order in for you. The pool was shaded and always cold
