The staff was amazing, all around. The room was a very nice space and we had the dipping pool which was refreshing. And a beautiful view. Breakfast was included and nice portions. And it was very quiet after they turned the music off and the club across the water shut down around 10pm It appears the primary business there is a beach club. So the techno music was always loud from 10am to 6pm. Some days it felt like they turned it up to 11! Also, the room had several issues and generally looked like it had seen better days. The sink faucet looked like it had fallen apart and was repaired with a clear plastic wrap. And the handle was about to break.

Absolutely gorgeous view, beautiful room and lovely staff. I’m not sure the location can be beat. You’re steps away from the most beautiful, serene water that is perfect for swimming. The location of the beach at the hotel protects it from the rougher waves, creating a peaceful lagoon that is safe and gorgeous to swim in. The staff was incredibly attentive and helpful. We will definitely be back. The bathroom is small and cramped and the shades on the windows don’t block much light, so it’s difficult to sleep in if you want to. Music from the hotel across the lagoon can be loud at night carrying across the water and sometimes plays until 11 pm. However, we enjoyed the property in spite of those things and will be back with a sleep mask and ear plugs!

The room was superb along with an outstanding staff that made my wife’s surprise birthday to Cancún wonderful. The food, the non-heated pool. Just a suggestion to possibly look into updating the room as well as the channels did not work most of the time but we were gone most of the morning and afternoon.

Having to make sure nothing goes into the toilet, the plunge pool tiles look heavily used and the water did not look clean. Breakfast can be better.

The staff were super friendly and the location on North Beach is excellent. Also within easy walking distance of the main shopping and restaurant street. Very enjoyable experience.

The setting is gorgeous! Located on an unbelievable beach with crystal clear turquoise water. Absolutely terrible value for money. My rating would be a lot higher if we paid half the price and the hotel was 3 or 4 stars (which is personally what I would have rated it) The floors in the room were dirty and the decor was not exactly luxurious. You have to faff with towel tokens for the beach which really is nothing I’ve ever experienced at a 5 star resort before. The drinks are way overpriced. Breakfast is supposedly included but it’s a measly continental breakfast. If you want anything hot or even a cappuccino it’s an extra cost. On top of the expensive drinks etc, we would always tip the staff a generous 20% but were still asked on check out if we wanted to leave a tip for the team. Not professional.

Everything was absolutely perfect except for the water pressure from the faucet was too strong.

It was right next to the busiest beach. Lovely sandy beach and shallow waters. During the weekend it was so packed . Booking.com mislead us, marking this as a 5 star hotel when it's not. This is a 3-star hotel. The price is, however, for a 5 star hotel. For over 500euros per night, you would expect to get a top of the range resort on Bed and Breakfast. The building is very old, made from low quality materials. It needs a serious renovation. The breakfast was very, very poor. It didn't include even the basics such as cheese and ham and espresso or cappuccino etc.

Great location. Front of house staff were great. The place was under construction. We received no prior notice and would have canceled our trip had we known. We had a chainsaw running outside our room for 3 out of the 7 days we stayed, 8 hours a day each day.

The bar staff was a little slow. Too much socializing between staff causing slow service.

The location Bed, bathroom sink sprayed water all over you when you turned on the water.

How close to the beach and the strip in Playa Norte. Each room has a designated Chakra color. The staff, especially Alexander and Karen, went above and beyond with recommendations, accommodations, and flexibility. The entire staff was very welcoming, knowledgeable, and kind. I appreciated the details Alexander put to make my birthday special. We also did thenRomantic Dinner. The food was AMAZING, with a beautiful view, and impeccable service. Please don't over think it. Book here! You won't regret it and you'll definitely feel relaxed.

Very nice room with a wonderful plunge pool facing the beach. The beach was also very nice, perfect for simming.

Location! And the day crew. My brother bought a bottle of Moet & Chandon to our room, as a gift to us celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary there. He paid for it, received a picture from a true M&C in a cooler. However we only received a local sparking wine in the cooler. Penny wise, pound foolish…. why…

This hotel with beach club (Guru) is simply outstanding! We stayed here for a week in late August 2024 and it is on the most beautiful beach in Isla Mujeres. The staff are friendly, helpful, attentive and deliver 5 Star service at the bar/restaurant, beach club and hotel. The hotel rooms are gorgeous and have zen-like decor. Very inviting, comfortable and impeccably clean! The manager, Alexander, and the assistant manager, Ulysses, are so helpful with recommendations, are very friendly and are there to meet your every need. The atmosphere around the pool and beach club rivals clubs we have visited in the Mediterranean and it has a wonderful chill vibe. The music, the food, the drinks, the service and the beautiful sea make this resort so special! We travel frequently to many destinations near and far and to put it bluntly, we've fallen in love with this place and can't wait to return! Wish we could have stayed longer than a week!
