Beautiful, old Mexico hotel with stunning views from every room. Great snorkeling- enter water at hotel and keep swimming south. Hector in the office is amazing - every hotel needs a Hector. Good breakfasts. I would definitely return. Food and drinks were a little pricey.

The room was comfortable with good a/c. The view was beautiful and the pool was nice with loungers and umbrellas available. Several good spots to eat within walking distance, most with live music. Snorkeling in front of the hotel is good but there is no beach so bring water shoes if you want to get down into the ocean to swim. Breakfast was okay. Would have liked a bit more variety. Overall a pleasant getaway on the slow end of the island. The charge for snorkeling equipment that was almost unusable is really sad. The food and drinks at the hotel were a bit pricey. Would be nice if the little ocean front ocean access was cleaned up a bit. Lots of garbage from the non Hotel guests that come down and use that area to swim and party.

The view from the room and our terrace were the highlight. We loved accessing the ocean from below the hotel and enjoyed swimming around. The shower by the pool was delightful and the pool was warm. Unfortunately the hotel kayaks are no longer an option, and it didn’t seem like there was much to see if snorkeling (at least not close to the hotel). The bed sheets didn’t seem to fit the bed and were a little stained, but it wasn’t a big problem.

Love the view. It was so peaceful. The decor is beautiful and unique. Enjoyed the breakfast. There are many stairs but we had no problem going up and down. It is a perfect place to get away and enjoy the island away from all the noise. You can take the stairs down to the water and snorkel from there. In the evening there are many boats playing music but they left relatively early. We had a room on the pool deck but we were not boy. It is not a new hotel but has such a local vibe. Very clean

Incredibly beautiful property. So much more than we expected. Our room had an amazing view and we lived the various sitting and lounge areas. Having a bar by the pool was a bonus too. Also loved the iguana and cat that visited. Minor detail but our bed was a little hard. Didn’t sleep as well as we could have. But that’s just us, maybe others would feel differently.

Beautiful location, small and personal, old Mexico vibes. I would agree with some other posters that the boats and catamarans that pull up in anchor in front of the property and play loud music is a bit annoying but no fault of the property.

The property was beautiful. Gorgeous views of the sun setting over the Carribean sea while sitting on our balcony. The bed was very comfortable as well. There was no elevators only stairs and if you have a disability or are elderly you cannot stay here. The stairs to the pool are steep and uneven. The bath and shower were rustic. The staff was very nice but were not always present for assistance.

Loved the view on the balcony west facing to watch sunset every evening Liked the property overall just if you don’t like stairs there are many

There were a couple days when the boats anchoring near the property were playing their music, intrusively loud.

I love the view from the balcony of our room. The hotel is a more in the remote area of the island and yet still walking distance to three or four very nice lunch and dinner places. Wi-Fi was slow, but I think that is pretty standard on the island.

Quiet, Lovely little boutique hotel close to restaurants
-
the mattress was terrible. It should have been replaced 5 years ago. see above
-
Architecture, pool, sitting areas, porch, staff attentiveness/kindness Boats anchoring too near, loud music.
-
Fabulous and attentive staff, lovely views, quaint setting and architecture. Sometimes noisy boats, loud music, anchored nearby. Also I am concerned about environmental health of coral in this water area, due to boat activity, anchoring.

Hotel was beautiful with excellent views, great restaurant and the manager and staff were so friendly and helpful!

The hotel’s location is amazing, and the access to the ocean is perfect. We stayed there for 3 nights, had fun in the pool, and loved the food in the restaurant. The rooms can be better; it could be more clean and the hotel should be renovated so it will be perfect to stay there again.
