I had a wonderful stay at A’la Sophia Hotel. The service was excellent from start to finish, and the staff made me feel truly welcome. The breakfast was delicious with a great variety, making each morning enjoyable. The location is perfect—everything is within walking distance, which made exploring the area so easy and convenient. Our room was lovely and very clean, which made our stay even more comfortable. What stood out the most was the owner, who was incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help with anything I needed. Overall, I was very happy with my experience and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

The windows are not properly installed, there is a big gap under the door which makes noise travel easily from one room to another. We went on a city break with friends and managed just by laughing to annoy our neighbors... And it is understandable since they could easily hear our conversations. However, we really enjoyed our stay.

Location Not very clean( especially carpet and curtains), rooms had some weird smell of sewerage, if you open the windows all smell of kitchen from outside will come to room. The room is not soundproof at all so you can hear all outside noises Water pressure was ok but one evening during shower water stopped…. That was not good experience. They fixed it quite fast though Breakfast is very poor and cold

Friendly and very helpful staff made my stay very nice. The staff even went above and beyond to help me mail out postcards since all the postage stamp locations were closed. Thankful for all their help. Nothing stands out.

Location was ok, near downtown The room 305 was outdated, with lots of issues. It smells like sewage all the time, the court aims dirty(squished bug on it), the vanity counter broken and with mildew, the water stopped twice while in the shower. The handle of the window was broken and the AC unit was dirty inside, whenever we put it on, something black flew down on the bed. I did not take any pictures of the room, because I intended to not report it, but the last day was horrible for us. One of the receptionist arranged the taxi ride to the airport for us(they have the prices on the reception desk), and proved to be a scam between him and the taxi driver. We were scared for our life, because the taxi driver came 30 later than supposed to arrive, paid the receptionist some money. He did not speak any English so the communication was only with google. Long story short, he wanted more money for the ride to the airport than what I discussed with the receptionist from A la Sophia. Also took us to a gas station on the way, where we waited for him 10 minutes. I want only to bring this situations to your attention because I m sure it happens all the time, and nothing is done.

They moved me to another hotel because there was a "problem" with my room. The rates for transfer from and to the airport in the reception are 35 euro but they wanted me to pay 50 euro. Becides that they do not accept card payment for the transfers, and I was not informed in advance.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived. My room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with all the amenities I needed. The location was perfect — close to restaurants, shops, and main attractions. Breakfast was delicious with a variety of options.

This hotel was situated in the old city center on the European side of Istabul. The area was clean, safe and provided idea assessibilty to the iconic Blue mosque. The staff was extremely attentive and helpful. The breakfast was lovely, but get there early because if not most hot dishes were cold. For the price, this hotel is worth it. The rooms were humble, but each had a TV with a pretty good selection of international and national news stations. The facility was clean, however there was a slight sent at times from the plumbing, old world water scent. My room was cleaned each day and new linens were provided. Only soap and shampoo were provided, but I did not ask for anything else, there could have been other things provided. They arranged a 30 euro cab for me to the airport on the day of my departure which was super convenient. All and all, for the price, the location and the demeanor of the staff this is definitely a place to consider. The breakfast could be kept warmer.

It was so great and perfect, we had such a good time at this property, they were so kind, welcoming and they helped us with everything we needed. The hotel in near the main attractions, like 10minutes walk. it is also close to the tram line, a fact that helps you explore Istanbul much easier. Breakfast was good as well.☺️ We fell in love with this hotel and with Istanbul?Totally recommend! -
