Sultan House

The apartment was comfortable, plenty of space for us and our three kids. The location is great, very close to the blue mosque. The staff was friendly and helpful. The wifi and air conditioning worked well. The kitchenette could be stocked better with a couple more plates/bowls and silverware.

The location is perfect if you wanna visit most touristic areas and be close to main areas. Also close to the tram line 1 which goes through all tourist attractions. We had to explicitly ask couple times to clean the room otherwise it was not cleaned as it’s described. The furnitures are quite old and not the cleanest. The bathroom was also quite old and the toilet specifically was little broken. Not the best. The soap and toilet papers were not being refilled so we had to again explicitly ask for those ( sometimes from the cleaning lady)

Location was fine Istanbul was our first stop on our trip to Turkey and let me just say that Sultan House was so disappointing that it almost ruined our first leg of the trip. First, the check in staff are absolutely miserable and not hospitable in the least. I have never dealt with someone in hospitality that was less friendly. No smiles, didn't offer to help with our bag, acted as if we were an inconvenience (and we checked in during our designated check in time so it was no inconvenience). Then for the room...Let me start off by pointing out that I upgraded our room to a deluxe double. The room looked NOTHING like the photos and I mean NOTHING. It was so small, sheets were thin and didn't look clean, the bathroom was so small that you could barely even brush your teeth, let alone shower! When I pointed out how different it looked in person, the front desk staff said he didn't see a difference because "it has a bed. what do you want?" Also we encountered two other people at the front desk during our 4 night stay and they were all awful and unfriendly. The location is great but there are MUCH nicer places in the area that actually live up to expectations. DO NOT STAY here.

The only thing I was disappointed in was that we thought we had a balcony from our room overlooking the sea. When we went on the balcony when I looked down the street in between the buildings I could see the sea. Maybe a disclaimer on the web site that the balcony did not look over the sea.

Very spacious, excellent location near everything but still quiet. Attentive staff. Clean. Really comfortable beds. The little kitchen needed a few more kitchen items but when we asked for things, they were very happy to provide it.

Good location. Walking distance to the most tourist attractions. Good value for money. Less choice for breakfast menu.

Plenty of bath towels. The property stated that we would get a sea view which was not true! The property did not have a lift which meant we had to climb 3 + 1 floors to get to the room which was not good on the third floor. After speaking with manager he stated he couldn’t do anything! The iron board was broken and the fridge was not working and leaking. The boiler was also leaking. The shower head was filthy! The room service was no good at all. The lady would only come and take out the bin and thats all! No tea cups or cutlery! Windows were filthy and not clean.

Close to the tourist attractions. Too compact, regular cleaning is not done, most disappointing is there are a few soft drinks given in the hotel room, the staff dod not inform beforehand that they are chargeable. No kitchen facilities in the room or lobby. Not suitable for family at all.
