Bankerhan Hotel

Location is amazing! The staff are very kind and know enough English to help out. The hotel itself does not have many amenities (no restaurant, no full mini bar, etc.) but it is located in such a great place that you can find anything around the corner. The lobby is nice and the AC in the room was great! They have a great room service app. with lots of options and fast. I wish they sold food in case you are traveling solo and want to eat at night but don't want to go out by yourself. But everything else was great- I would definitely book here again.

The location was great. The staff were friendly, and the price was very nice as well. It's easy to get to the hotel via public transportation. There are also a lot of food options nearby, as well as a super market. The bathroom smelled pretty bad. Every time I came back to my room, I was greeted by a bad smell. I eventually got used to it, but I feel like I shouldn't have to get used to something like this. The bathroom shower floor was sloped in a way where water remained on the floor and didn't wash away.

The staff and the people working there were incredibly kind and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. The only downside for us was the room lighting—the lights in the room weren't ideal and could definitely be improved.

We loved the location with easy access to all the sites. The bed was probably the MOST comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in and I am well travelled! And the staff were very helpful with all my questions. Finally, breakfast was comprehensive and delicious. Would definitely return Only criticism is the lack of hooks in the bathroom and bedroom to hang up wet towels.

I really liked the quiet and peaceful atmosphere of the hotel. The air conditioning worked very well, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The location is also convenient, just a 3–4 minute walk from Karakoy tram station. However, the hotel is situated on a steep street, so reaching it requires walking uphill, which can be a bit challenging. There were a few things I didn’t like during my stay: 1. The lighting in the room was quite poor. Some areas were very dim, and a few spots were completely dark. At times, I had to use my phone’s flashlight. 2. There was no coffee/tea kettle in the room. Nowadays, most hotels provide this basic facility for guests to make their own tea or coffee, so this was a bit disappointing. 3. Room cleaning was not consistent. Although the staff were polite and friendly, my room was cleaned only once during my 4-night stay, which was not sufficient.

Loved the location in the Galata Tower area. Great laneways to explore, little traffic. Interesting shops and good cafes. It would have been nice to get a better view but excellent large window that allowed natural lighting in and blinds that could control the light.

Staff. Rooms. Location. Guys at Reception - Karim and Umut are so helpful. Thanks them for all advices, taxi booking, etc. They made my stay so comfortable. Room was nice, clean, stylish. You are right in the center of all the touristic places. The window is too thin, so the insulation is poor, therefore by the way hotel is called “adults only”. However, since it is not on the main road or highway you do not feel any discomfort.

Excellent hotel in a fun location I don’t have anything I didn’t like

The hotel is in the new city center on the European side. It is on a quiet street in a popular tourist area. The location is unbeatable, very close to the tower, the public transits (the tram, the Metro, the bus), the Bosphorus cruise docking, the pier, the bridge over to the old city, etc. We were upgraded to the sea view with balcony, which has the best view of Istanbul and itself worth a million bucks. The breakfast is standard, a little less impressive than the view, but adequate. We will certainly stay there when we visit again. Maybe the breakfasts could have more authentic local dishes and more varieties. But overall the breakfast is adequate and the dining area is clean and nicely decorated.

The location is perfect : two thirds down the Galata hill, a stone's throw away from the Karaköy tram stop and jetty, and just above the entrance to Tunel, you can quickly get from here to everywhere in Istanbul, be it on foot, by tram, by boat, or by metro. As for the room, it was big and spacious and the bed super comfortable. We stayed a week, no problem ! Staff were very very welcoming and super friendly, and breakfast was plentiful. It would have been perfect if we would have been able to get some food (even just snacks) and drinks later in the day, too.

Rooms were clean and spacious. Nice view on the city and Bosporus. It's located in a quiet street and had no issues with late night disturbances due to noices from within or outside the hotel. Easy walk to public transportation or the Galata district. Would stay here again! Nothing really
