Amazing location, super clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff. Loved looking at the view at breakfast.

There was always fresh water. The breakfast is ok, but no variety. The rooms were noisy in the evenings, when cafes were having music on We have asked for rooms together quite a few months in advance and were ignored, even though booking was in the same name. The spa is small and the staff there is rude

I had a very pleasant stay at Galata’s Hotel and would highly recommend it, especially if you want to be close to public transport, city life, and the atmosphere of Istanbul. Breakfast was very nice, and the kitchen staff are happy to prepare some special dishes, such as menemen, if you ask. Breakfast is served on the fourth floor, so when the weather is good, you can sit outside and enjoy the view. I also really enjoyed the swimming pool and sauna in the basement. They were a great bonus after a long day exploring the city. The hotel is located right in the heart of Istanbul, with easy access to buses, trams, and the metro. Even the ferry is not too far away: Kabataş Pier is about a 25-minute walk, or just a few tram stops. With an Istanbulkart, travelling around the city is very practical. Before booking, I had read some reviews mentioning noise. There was indeed some nightlife noise after midnight, but it did not bother me at all. To me, it felt like part of the city atmosphere, and I slept very well. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower was good, and the air conditioning was very helpful. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. One extra detail I loved: the hotel has a cat, and since Istanbul is full of cats, you will meet many more throughout the city. They range from very friendly to quite cautious, so if you like cats, I would recommend buying some dry cat food or cat treats at a local supermarket, which is what I did. That way, you can enjoy feeding the cats without accidentally bothering one that does not want to be petted. A few things I especially enjoyed during my stay in Istanbul were Dolmabahçe Palace, the Basilica Cistern — although the entrance fee for non-Turkish visitors is quite high — a day trip to the Princes’ Islands, especially Büyükada, where you can rent a bike and explore the island, and another day in Kadıköy. The only downside was that the Wi-Fi did not always work reliably.

The location was great. We loved the breakfast and the spa. Wish the swimming water was a bit colder to be more refreshing after a long hot day outside.

The size of hotel was perfect. Nice design, spacious and beautiful light. Glass elevator is amazing! I would have like to have my breakfast outdoors but the sun is very hot. An umbrella or two would have been nice.

Good sport easy to find and close to mosques. Clean and a Safe. Great breakfast.

Don't even think about staying anywhere else, this hotel has everything that you would want. The staff are welcoming, friendly and efficient. The location is superb being a walk or short tram ride from the Topkapi Palace and the old city. There are dozens of restaurants, cafe's and bars nearby. The breakfast is served on the top floor with a good selection of food and a view of the Golden Horn....does it get any better? The room was fine, with good linen and clean, the shower was good too with plenty of hot water.

It was beautifully renovated and in a great neighborhood. Breakfast was fantastic. Everything was clean and we loved the convenience to sultanhement and beyogulu Nothing.

The property was clean and location is great. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The initial welcome could be a little warmer. It might the a training issue. There was an unpleasant smell at the lobby level every time we entered the hotel for some reason. I could not tell what it was.

The best things about this hotel were the location, the breakfast (with rooftop views!), the shower (probably the best shower I've ever had!!), the cleanliness and the staff My only issue was the noise in the room, but not from outside. It may have been that I had particularly loud neighbours but every time they shut a cupboard door or drawer, it sounded like it was happening in my room. I could also hear their conversations and TV noise which was a bit annoying.

Service was exceptional. We left one our phones in the taxi we arrived in. Yilmaz jumped into action, took us to the police station where they could call the cabby to return with the phone. Disaster averted thanks to Yilmaz’s quick action! He took care of us the whole stay. Breakfast great in the beautiful dining room, and the spa was so relaxing. No complaints about the property or service.

Overall definitely a good place to stay. Location is great. Rooms are not outdated. -

The room was generally good, though it was occasionally a bit dusty. I also want to highlight the staff who welcomed us — a girl with red hair and a tall, fair-haired guy with light eyes. They were incredibly polite, kind, and truly made a great impression. Some of the other staff members were okay, but not quite at the same level. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and loved the experience. Highly recommend!
