Hotel Barbarosa

Everything was great! We were given a room for three for two people. The room is clean and tidy. The Bosphorus could be seen from the window. The employees are all nice and friendly :)

It was my second time in Barbarossa hotel and I was very happy with everything, especially with extremaly comfortable beds. The staff was friendly and always helpful. Thank you! I'll be coming back.

Because I booked the first day for $35, and on the second day they told me the booking was now $100. If you don't accept this, you can leave because it's the weekend. The place is not like the pictures; there is no private reception and the services are poor.

The hotel is located quite close to the Sultanahmet area and a bit of a walk from Çemberlıtaş tram stop. The hotel itself is relatively small boutique-like property, however my room was quite big and comfortable. The room was also very bright and full of sunlight thanks to the south-facing window. The bed was comfortable, the furniture looked nice, the bathroom was clean, shower had good pressure, and internet worked quite well. I also liked that the housekeeping replenished water, teabags and coffee daily, which was a nice touch. Overall, considering that budget hotels in this area can be a bit unreliable, I would suggest this one provides good value for money. It might be a bit difficult to find the hotel at first, but even though it's tucked away at a small street, it's not a bad location. There were couple minor issues but none of them dealbreakers. In the room itself my TV didn't work (I rarely watch TV but this time I wanted to catch up on some Olympics broadcast). Also if you have to use AC/heater at night, the temperature display on it is rather bright so I had to use a sleep mask. Lastly, the hotel doesn't allow outside guests, so take it into account if that is an issue for you.

Conveniently located near most attractions, restaurants, and shopping centers. Friendly and helpful staff. Decent breakfast. The room (in basement) looks a bit shabby and requires renovation.

The hotel was very clean, the bed was very comfortable and it was cleaned daily. Toilet for me is very important, and it met my expectations, it was very clean and I was provided with clean towels everyday. The only downside was the location, although it is near the Sultahnamet, the hotel was on a hill. It is hard to carry your luggages on the cobblestone road.

The hotel is very cosy, clean and quiet. I must say had the best night sleep as the bed was super comfortable. The towels are changed every day? and you also get complimentary mineral water in the room. All staff is very friendly and helpful and the location is great. I will be coming back?

Very nice and clean hotel i would recommend this hotel to anyone, the people are such good hearted people very caring nice and loving people with big open arms to welcome anyone, I came to turkey alone was worried but the people here made me feel safe and made me feel like I am home with my family, this is my second time coming to this hotel and anytime I come to Istanbul I will forever be coming here to stay at this hotel, I have never met such sweet souls my years of travelling this is the first hotel with such beautiful people, thank you to everyone, and big thank you to Anvar, Deniz, Firdavs, Javokhir, Hassan and Ayshe I call this hotel my home and my family, thank you so so much Çok teşekkür ederim -janetta Almagomadova from Canada <333

Highly recommend for anyone looking charming stay at heart of Istanbul

the location was great and I think the hotel has been renovated because everything looks new and usefull - also have to say thanks for all staff

I came to this hotel with my family from out of town and encountered very friendly staff. Especially Devran and Enver, they welcomed me very well, they gave me a lot of information about the hotel and historical places. There was an open buffet breakfast and very fresh food. The rooms were very clean and tidy. Although the check-in time was 2, they gave us our room at 12. It is a great hotel with everything and its location is very nice, it is within walking distance to everywhere. I will definitely choose this place again. EVERYTHİNG WAS PERFECT
